Whatever your opionion is of Donald Trump, be it positive or negative. Let's not forget. It's no different to anywhere else where democracy thrives. What he promised he'd do and what is popular with the public to get him to where he has got to. Doesn't translate into what he will actually achieve when he becomes President. We all vote for what we like to hear. It's implementing those promises that will be the difficult part.
He is just a figurehead, as I have stated in another thread regards Obama. He's already reigned in some of his outspoken attitudes and he knows a lot of what he has promised will not come to fruition. He has to get those by the Senate and Congress first and he'll find opposition from his own party on many issues.
I don't think any President is any more or less dangerous than the previous or next one. He still has to work within the diplomatic parameters of an international community. His advisors will make sure he tows the party line to an extent rather than risk alienation from key allies.
In short. What he believes he wants to be best for the USA, has to be within the workings of a sound basis of international trust, diplomacy and sensible economic strategy.

Mr Trump had demanded that every ambassador in countries all over the world, who had been appointed by former President Barack Obama, were told to leave their offices by midday on 20 January and with no grace period.

He got the angle of the punch all wrong, should have gone for chin/neck area.

Still, connection was decent. Probably could have said a few words closer up - for effect.

What are the smarter ways? The problem is that the fash are thriving in notoriety. Someone like Piers Morgan, who has bounced around the political spectrum, are currently coming out as fascists. They're doing it not in spite of the opprobrium, but largely because of it. They look at Trump and look at the fame and notoriety and power achieved by Spencer, Milo, Trump etc and they want a piece of that pie.

They need to have their platforms shut down. They need to be resisted when they organise. And they need to be scared to walk the streets. Because otherwise they will keep getting stronger.

My issue is with attacking the man on camera. All that does is gift wrap a nice piece of propaganda for people like Spencer to spread around the internet and attract would-be white supremacists to the "cause". Look at what this stupid black man/left-winger/whatever did to me, see, I told you they were all violent.

If the urge to punch his lights out is so strong then why not do it off camera? If Spencer and his ilk are thriving on notoriety like you say then doing something that gets Richard Spencer's name all over the internet within minutes of smacking him one is probably the worst thing that you can do besides lopping his head off, shouting Allāhu akbar and making him a martyr.

You know more about this type of thing than me but my first impression is that the way this guy decided to "fight back" is counter-productive.
