Herrera is the deepest of the centre mids which never sits easy with me. I love Herrera but I prefer him further forward. We don't have anyone as effective as Carrick in that deep role so when he doesn't start we never look quite the same.

Herrera is also the best presser of the ball in our mid, so when he holds you lose a bit of that functionality. Pogba isn't particularly great at it either, and Fellaini is Fellaini. Just won't control a midfield like that, the balance is awful.

Mata on the right is also a weak presser of the ball. Depending on Pogba-Mkhy-Ibra magic really, and over-lapping fullbacks putting in crosses.

Awful miss from Mata just now.
