Brum were by far the best team in the first half as we didnt turn up.
Any intelligent self respecting fan of theirs must be pretty embarrassed by the second half antics of their 12 men though
Mason must have been on the take

Why are we always shit when we get a decent crowd? It was great to see the ground packed like that but what a piss poor game.
I guess the result justified their time wasting antics but that and Lee bloody Mason killed the game as a spectacle.

Because we were safe? Otherwise, why was it the most enjoyable?

Nothing on the line for us but everything on the line for Brum and the chance to relegate them just made it an exciting and enjoyable game of football

What are the odds on El Guapo being one of the fans that stood up and celebrated Birmingham's goal in the home end...

There should be plenty of street parking available if you get there early. A lot of away fans head for Bedminster cricket club which is nice and close. If you're over the river from the city centre, everything will be open although the portway (long road from the motorway which passes under the suspension bridge) will be shut. I would suggest staying on the motorway and coming off at junction 19 and following the A369 into Bristol. The cricket club is actually on that road and it's a nice drive in TBH.
I wouldn't bother with the NCP's Trev, they're expensive and a fair old walk TBH. The cricket club would probably be your best bet TBH as you can get straight out without going through the city afterwards. Your other option is to come off at the A4 and go in the park and ride. It's £4 return for adults, kids go free and the buses run for 2 hours before and after the game. The buses are marked as AG1/2/3 and 4.
Cricket club address:
Clanage Rd, Bristol BS3 2JX

Cricket club was bang on

Went into the centre had a beer in The Pumphouse and watched the 10k race, had a good chat with a few City fans who were rather less desperate to relegate us!! Went back to that Cricket Club after, nice atmosphere with the two sets of fans sat around in the sunshine having a drink together, good laugh.

Second half was fully backs against the wall, I was a nervous wreck!!! Great scenes at the end, back in Brum with a few beers under the belt now, finally relaxed. Once the kids are in bed it'll be a celebratory drink or two tonight, I'm fucking exhausted!!

Che Adams, good player mind.
Indeed, the centre half with the dodgy barnet was tidy as well!
They were obviously gonna enjoy the bus home...

It was a nice touch to acknowledge Mark Gaines on the big screen. And good to see the Bristol City fans joining in with the minute applause. It was appreciated.

I thought you were all applauding the Blues fans at the end till I noticed it was for Steve Cotterill

Hey El G, a fallen fan is a fellow football fan and you couldn't do it at home. 35 is no age and our club were obviously, for the right reasons, totally behind it, as were our supporters.
As for Steve C, we needed that. He was great for us and we never got the chance to show him how we feel about what he did for our club. A proper emotional moment.
Did you like the new Gate mate?

The new Ashton Gate looks great, not gonna lie. Was going to walk around to check out that South Stand but it was rammed outside the ground half hour before kick-off. I thought the atmosphere was deathly quiet at times from your end but some good noise from that small corner of the Atyeo (or could had been from the Dolman). Would had been good to see the West Stand in all its glory, looks like a monster of a stand compared to the rest of the ground.

Yeah, it felt like the last day of school a bit for us today with safety already sorted and we were poor. I'm not saying you didn't deserve to win because you did.
The West stand does look impressive doesn't it? I'm glad you like our new stadium but it's not finished yet, supposedly. You'll get that whole stand to yourselves next season BTW.
It's a pity you didn't get to come round to the other end as it was really nice pre game in the fans village, a few beers, some grub and decent music made for a pleasant hour or so. Maybe next season when it's not so important you can if the sun's out.

Aye, I saw on social media that a big Blues fan had passed and one of our fans tweeted the head of communications at City requesting for the picture on the big screen in the 35th minute, so was good of them to do that.

Atmosphere was decent at times I thought, could sense your fans were nervous as fuck because they'd be silent for a few minutes and then absolutely bellow a "keep right on" or some other chant to release some strain  still got keep right on stuck in my head twelve hours on.

Was a good day, Cotterill finally got his goodbye and so did Tammy, was good at FT.

Enjoyable day, didn't see many Blues afterwards in town though, thought it was going to be rammed all afternoon and evening with pissed up Brummies but it really wasn't.

That was the view from where we sat. Whilst not a 'new' ground for me it may as well of been, completely unrecognisable from my memories of Ashton Gate. Unlike a lot of modern stadiums it holds the atmosphere quite well, shame there was nothing in it from a home fans point of view, aside from baiting us a few times  there was nothing really for them to get excited about, if we both needed a win the atmosphere would have been deafening.

Nice touch with the minutes applause too, fair play

I can't even imagine how the last 10 mins must've been from that point of view!

Ryan Shotton was colossal yesterday - the back four gave a masterclass in the art of defending

The celebration for Che's goal looked immense from where I was (about 20 rows up behind Redknapp). Limbs everywhere. Loud and boisterous.

What did you do when Blues scored then? I didn't see any away fans in our stands TBH apart from hearing about a few arseholes trying to kick off in the corner to the right of where you were (one of the hospitality lounges) by all accounts.
If that's Shotton in those pics, he was superb yesterday.

Yeah we were right in that when the goal went in, I started off in row 7 ended up in row 2!!!:lol: Then at the end it was a battle trying to stay off the pitch!

It was different to Bolton having led the whole game the final whistle was more relief than elation, still a great celebration all the same.

To be fair to the blue noses they were pretty loud with the keep right on chant but didn't hear anything else. You could tell they were nervous with the same chant coming out quieter as the game went on though!

It was a pretty shite game with no real quality from either sides. You have to give credit to Brum for that I guess, they stopped us from playing.

I did laugh when I heard the Blackburn score in the first half, you must have been bricking it? El Guapo tiltontrev

I was shaking like a shitting dog!!!

I'd got the score alerts set on my watch along with any penalties/cards etc so I was up to speed with all the other scores. Predictably it went round at least 3 times that Brentford had equalised, people were hugging each other and I was stood knowing they were being fed false info.

I can't be doing with these last gasp days, give me a couple of seasons of mid table mediocrity, I don't think my nerves can stand it, I properly felt sick in the last ten minutes or so.

There were so many people on various mobiles that the signal was crap on Sunday. I've never seen that before. Every time I looked over at the away fans, it seemed like every single one had their heads down looking at their phones!
