Jesus, I forgot how much WH Stag hates Cheltenham until I read the last couple of pages of this thread.

As for Billy Waters, 16 goals in our team last season, when he barely played up front, shows that he is better than a Conference/lower League 2 type player. The boy runs and runs, and his instinctive finishing is brilliant. Likes to run into dead-ends a lot, and can have games where he's barely involved, but those games are few and far between. With that being said, if he was to go, he's not irreplaceable.

I dont hate cheltenham, just found it hilarious when you all thought you would walk the league when id been watching you lot and league two and could see how shite you were and I got laughed at. Bishops Cleeve FC could of beaten you, well not really haha. Few people where I work didn't like me telling them how bad they were and they were feking horrible to me over it, others just had good banter because of it and had you finished one place lower I would of won some dosh haha.

waters only got 12, not 16 in the league.

RE Mitch Rose, When he first came here he looked a class above, real tough tackling intelligent midfielder that could also play a bit. Murray was too scared to play him in a middle two because he was a young lad and always had him play in front of the back four OR at right back which wasn't his position and he lost his place in the team a lot. I hope he does well at grimsby because I really liked him, he can hit a ball too and was so so close to scoring some right screamers. Evans got rid of him at Rotherham thats why we had him, then he got rid of him again.

Welcome to the forum Yella. Certainly plenty of reasons to be optimistic. Let's just hope it's not misplaced optimism and all of this new found positivity comes to fruition next spring. We've not achieved anything yet!

Decent going forward at times, but gets caught out of position too often, doesn't get back quickly enough and lets too many crosses come in from that side. Basically a bit of a liabilty defensively, which we can't afford at this level.
I thought he was a left winger when we played Sutton back in August, so I was surprised he was at LB. The goal you conceded in the PO's at Dagenham looked like he was a winger playing at full back.

Sounds like Sean Newton.

West Ham have apparently bid £120k for Sean Raggett.

No-where near enough, unless he's got a release clause in there.

Quite a bit of Twitter talk to say we are trying to re-sign Dean Moxey since his release from Bolton...I think every City fan would love this to be true as he's a hero amongst our fans, and I can see it happening if we go up. He was at the Carlisle game on Thursday but that could just be because he was back in Exeter to see family.

Only 31 and we will need a new LB so would be delighted.

Kevin Cooke dismissed that kind of figure in any release clause recently so I cannot see that amount getting him. Really expect upwards of half a million before we could even contemplate letting him go.

Alex Lacey looks set to leave us on a free and join Gillingham. Gutted, he's really come on in the last year or so and will be a massive loss.

Apparantly we have been rebuffed for One of the top scorers in this division I would imagine that would be Akinde so it does looks like we still have the Marque Striker signing yet to come in.

No chance it was Marquis, and why would he come here?

My money would be on James Collins.

We're apparently in for 2 players that Mansfield are also in for.

If one was Mirfin then I'm not too bothered that we've missed out.

We've got him which is a good signing, unlike some of the others i'm thrilled we've got him.

Scunny fans seem to like him and most wanted him to stay - their player of the year.

I'm surprised Mirfin has dropped a level to be honest, our defence was already really good last year and I am a tad surprised by this signing considering we already got Zander Diamond.

Bugger. Lacey's signed for Gillingham. Massive loss for us.

Interesting to hear of his improvement - when he left here he definitely needed to toughen up a bit as he used to get bullied a lot by centre forwards.

Glad he has progressed as always seemed like an intelligent footballer but just needed to add a nasty streak to his game.

Crewe about to make their first Summer signing.

Will either be Jordan Bowery or James Alabi from the sounds of what Artell has said, more than likely the former...
