Wanna see what Baker gets up to, exciting player.

Obviously Gray is the best player in the tournament though. Just ahead of Chilwell who is being rested so's not to deflate the opposition too much.

Does it annoy anyone else that Redmond, a 23 year old, is playing with the u21 side? I know its about age during qualification but it just seems stupid to me. JWP is 22 as well.

I think it's worse that someone like Mawson, who is 23 and has only just come into the set up, is playing.

Pretty much a stalemate that first half. England looking good in stages but the final ball is shit.

Well it's either that or your qualification campaign has to be started with 18 or 19 year olds.

Pretty limp up top. Like the seniors.

This team has zero chance of winning the tournament. The fact Chalobah keeps getting picked for the U21s just shows the lack of depth in CM. He's such an average player.

Hats off to Chilwell for trying to inject some life into the tie.

Similar problem to the seniors in that we got stuck in central midfield and lacked the incision to progress forward from there. Which isn't promising. Seems to be a national trend that no one can cross a ball either. At least Abraham isn't unused to being so isolated

Yo Ebeneezer, do you still think Aidy Boothroyd should be involved in the England setup?

Do they play the typical "hoofroyd" stuff or just not very good at passing?

Just the usual turgid, uninspiring football. The attacking players look so constrained.

To be fair we've been better in the second half.

Some comical defending to the rescue. Redmond has come to life second half, helping to force errors, generous though they are.

Although it's nice to see Iorfa and Hause playing from a Wolves perspective, it does seem strange that they were selected. Iorfa has hardly played all season, and Hause only really played every other game. Surely we have a better pool to pick from?
You need to change your avatar. Each time I see it, I think it's a Millwall fan posting.

Lucky goal for Redmond today but they all count.

Rubbish again. Very lucky to escape with a win there.

We're overdrilled in possession to the point where creativity and individuality is lacking.

Well I can't remember your exact words but you defended his appointment.

How do you think he's doing so far then?

I defended his appointment in so much as I said he had a background in youth development and he wouldn't play hoofball the way that everyone seemed convinced he would. He's been lacklustre, but that's about par given what his predecessors did.

Assist too. Should be in the semis now then.

Much improved performance tonight. Based on the tournament thus far I'd play both Tammy and Gray and leave out Redmond for the semis

Defence seems solid so far, can't see Iorfa or Hause getting any game time at this rate.

I think Pickford is going to be pushing Butland very hard for that number 1 jersey in the future. Possibly even next World Cup if Hart doesn't get the right move.

Its a shame we don't have the same depth of potentially very good goalkeepers elsewhere in the squad..

Suppose its a bit like when we used to have a long list of decent defenders to pick from.

Gray did well, deserves to keep his place.

Course he did. Shits on Redmond. Tammy should go back up front and let Gray play the wing.

Bright start - could have got a couple.

Mind you Germany maybe should had a pen.

Playing far too deep. We're sitting off them in our own penalty area

England should have had a penalty after this stupid action of HSVer Gideon Jung. That was luck. England with a great start but actually our team is on the move. 1-0 Davie Selke. I really hope we'll see Davie soon in the adult team. He's a beast, U19 Euro and now his 9th goal in 15 U21 matches.

edit. 1-1 fair enough
