At least Sam Kelly was fairly consistent for us.

Consistently shit.

As Haddock says though pretty good of him to allow his contract to be terminated rather than just sitting on it and getting another years pay for doing nothing so good on him for that.

Rhys Oates and Zak Mills are our first signings of the summer. Oates looked a handful against us in our FA Cup game last season, no idea on Mills, Grimsby fans?
Oates will run around full pelt for about 60 minutes until he becomes winded and ultimately replaced, the lad isn’t a threat in front of goal at all.

Signed George Glendon, released from Fleetwood.

He played a lot of games for them and still only 23 so might be good.

The rape charge probably derailed him a bit. But now that’s all behind him and the courts proved his innocence hopefully he can kick on for us.

You and PH know that contract terminated doesn't mean he has just ripped it up and walked away for free, right?

Yes. But it shows he wants games, whereas your typical mercenary would be happy to collect a wage whilst sat in the reserves all year. Who knows, someone might find a player in there (unlikely from current evidence)!

Heard from a reliable source today that we’ve put in a bid for Bostwick at Lincoln, despite him signing an extension on his contract in April.
Will break our transfer record.

Also heard that we want Yamfam & Ahearne-Grant from Charlton on loan.

Along with the possibility of offering Archibald-Henville a deal despite releasing him 2 weeks ago.

Paul-Arnold Garita & Scott Golbourne will be with us during pre-season too apparently.

A rumour this one but talk tonignt that we’ve bid £100k for Cullen from Blackpool and it’s been accepted.

If true will be the usual issue of wages as Norm doesn’t seem to realise strikers need paying more than other players as other players.

Pull it off il be delighted with that but with the frustration of our striker search so far I won’t hold my breath!

We’ve been linked with everyone this pre season!

Not a chance that Bostwick story is true. For multiple reasons.

We also don't need a left back so no idea why we'd be in for Golbourne.

Bostwick turned down more money at Blackburn to come here because he lives in Stamford and is settled there with his wife and kids. Not going to happen.

Aherne Grant was the cameraman in the Ibiza episode. Not sure what the status is on that though.

We're apparently after Aiden O'Neill on loan from Burnley.

This was also my questions. My first thought was bollocks, but my source has been reliable enough usually.

Good player is Glendon.. playing for a decent Fleetwood team too.

I’d rate that as one of the top signings so far.

A bit of an odd one . Missed 6 months of the season injured and signed a new contract in May.
Contracts mean fook all I guess but just seems a bit leftfield if any ounce of Truth in it

He can only play as an attacking midfielder just behind a target man such as Tom Pope. It only took us about 6 years to realise this when that tactical genius Rob Page sussed it.
We only had him for a season but you just couldn't pin him down to a position. Then everywhere he went also struggled as well.

He was never quite good enough (albeit as a young lad on loan from Leicester) to play up front but seemed a bit wasted out wide and didn't really have the attributes for there either.

Imagine having to watch him for 8 seasons knowing his best position is in the number 10 role and still see managers play him out wide.
Infuriating.

He goes missing a bit too often but I’m quite chuffed he’s come back. I think he could do well if you put him behind the striker with 2 hard working, ball winning central midfielders behind him.

Would free up Wozza to play out wide too.

From Pugh and Tonge to the midfield we now have is huge. Much more mobile!

Dicko is a good solid pro, but his best days are way behind him, very slow and you wouldn't build a side looking for anything more than staying up with that standard of signing .

That's the level of ambition we have at our club.

That Bostwick one has got to be bollocks. Would love it to be true but just can’t see him coming here.

Yamfam has been released by Charlton so he can’t come on loan, although a free transfer has been rumoured. Would love Ahearne-Grant but as someone else mentioned he’s been a bit of a naughty boy so not sure on that being a likely transfer.

Garita would be ok but he’s not done too much other than score against us last season. Golbourne isn’t really needed unless we bomb out Woodman which I’d be delighted with.

It'll probably be worse than the MELTDOWN that occurred when the Cowleys went to Ipswich.

Oh wait...
