Been listening to you lot on there too, GFCSludge, good stuff.

Really appreciate that mate, we just finished recording our debut album, hoping to have it out early 2019 with an accompanying UK tour. Been a proper mission to get to this stage, but well worth it.

Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats are on my playlist too, solid band.

Wasteland by Uncle acid and the deadbeats is as good as their previous stuff and well worth a listen.

Lately I've been going through the discography of Wolves in the Throne Room apart from Two Hunters which doesn't seem to be available on spotify. Loving all their work so far with current favourite tracks being Queen of the Borrowed Light, The Old Ones Are With Us and Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog. Yet to listen to the albums Celestial Lineage or Celestite though so that might change.

Also have any of you seen that Jonas Akerlund (who I did not know was involved in the early evolution of Scandinavian black metal) has made a film about the early days of Mayhem and Burzem in Norway? Lords of Chaos due to be released early next year. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4669296/ I don't know that much about the scene but I'm quite looking forward to that.

Thoughts on album of the year then? I'm going for Idol by Horrendous. It's sort of a mixture of prog thrash/death with NWOBHM influences with some really catchy riffs. Shame they're not more popular.

Honourable mentions to Arsis, Kalmah and Omnium Gatherum.

And he's back again, but if I don't promote us, who will? ;)

First single from our debut album 'Origins'. This is 'The Supplicant'. Feedback welcome!

My transformation from thrash to death is nearly complete.

One of my favorite Slayer songs, probably my 2nd favourite band behind Metallica, never been a massive lover of Anthrax.

Don’t like Anthrax, and Slayer don’t appeal at all. Reign In Blood is well overrated imo . I love early Metallica though. I take it you’ve listened to their debut album?

As for death metal, it’s not for me. Thrash is as extreme as I go regarding metal .

Seasons in the abyss is probably my favourite Slayer Album, yeah Master of Puppets is probably my pick for metallica with Ride the lightning coming close. Don't mind some of the stuff on their latest album like Atlas rise but generally their newer stuff hasn't been all that.

Have you listened to Kill Em’ All Metallica’s debut album? I lost interest after The Black Album.

Yeah I think it's a good album I'd have it as 4th behind the black album.

A thread for all metalheads to converse and debate the finest genre of music ever invented.

Anyone heading to Temples Festival in May btw?

Left populated or racists in my city face far from being called schizophrenia because i've liked industrial metal and more metal genre those know but they want n't make up close.
