Darlo's squad looking pretty strong now.

We've agreed terms with wingers Justin Donawa (Bermudan international) and Lucas Bell (Sunderland), and with central defender Josh Heaton (St Mirren), and central midfielder Omar Holness (Jamaican international) after they completed trials - just waiting for international and FA clearance before we can officially confirm.

We know all about Josh Heaton as he was a stand out player here in the season before last, and we sold him to St Mirren. Omar Holness spent the last few matches of last season with us and did very well, so I'm pleased we've signed him again.

Most pleasing for those who have watched us so far this pre season is that we're playing good football, the players all seem familiar with each other and seem to know their roles - in direct contrast to last pre season where we looked a half fit, pea hearted, clueless rag tag bunch of misfits. It's clear that Armstrong has went through everything thoroughly and stamped his name all over the place.

Midfielder Mitchell Glover has left the club by mutual consent, and we only need to offload the useless Johnny Burn now.

Our squad now looks like this (subject to the signings of Heaton, Bell, Donawa and Holness being confirmed) ...

Goalkeepers

Chris Elliott (Spendymore)
Cameron Hall

Defenders

Luke Trotman
Josh Heaton (St. Mirren)
Louis Laing (Blyth)
Terry Galbraith
Johnny Burn
Jordan Watson (Blyth)
Michael Liddle (Blyth)

Midfielders

David Atkinson (Blyth)
Omar Holness
Will Hatfield (Guiseley)
Joe Wheatley
Osagi Bascombe

Wingers/Forwards

Jarrett Rivers (Blyth)
Stephen Thompson
Justin Donawa (Bermuda)
Adam Campbell (Morecambe)
Jamie Holmes (Blyth)
Lucas Bell (Sunderland)
Tyrone O'Neill (Middlesbrough - 6 month loan)

Farsley fans, will segregation by in place for Saturday?

We're expected to bring between 800/1000 down.

I was reading for away fan's if segregation is in force we'll be in the Shed Terrace at the West End of the ground and all or part of the North Terrace on one side, nothing officially confirmed?

Can't wait for Saturday mate up the Darlo!

Budget is actually smaller than last years, we’ve just got rid of the high earners like Ainge/Hughes/Maddison/Henshall who were on stupid money.

Not forgetting the fans topped the budget up by 100k too through the #BoostTheBudget

The fans, who have boosted the budget by an extra £103,000.

None of our players are on silly money either, a few of them coming from Blyth where there was a smaller budget

And Nicholson, another one on big money.

Even Glover was on a decent whack too.

Hmmm, now that justice has been served and Chorley have finally got the promotion they deserve, I find I have no further interest in this league. Interesting. :dk:

2 signings for us this week. Rhys Williams from Liverpool on loan and Cameron Gregory from Shrewsbury on loan. Gregory looked brilliant against Bristol Rovers in pre-season and Rhys Williams has been tipped as the next Van Djik and Liverpool fans seemed shocked he dropped so low. Think we are a striker and midfielder away from a full team but can't seem them being here in time for Saturday.

Think we had Josh Heaton on trial yesterday. What's he like darlo fans?

I take it Josh Heaton didn't impress the gaffer while on trial with you guys. He's back at our place now for the season. I'm chuffed to bits we've got him back like.

I was reading Adam Morgan has left Curzon Ashton and signed for Mossley!

Christ i thought he was better than that - seen him a few times looked fairly decent and he's only 25, somewhat surprised he couldn't find a club in this league the lad scored a hat-trick for Curzon in their televised FA Cup round defeat to AFC Wimbledon.

We had a choice between him, Lewis Baines and Chris Doyle and we chose Baines. I would have rather had both Doyle and Heaton but the one good thing about Baines is that he is left sided and all but one of our centre halves are right sided.

Well, they should be. They're here on merit. They've done it the RIGHT way. No sugar daddy, no blank cheques, just the local community getting behind the club. If you had owt about you, you'd agree with me. BTW, I wish half of our fans were as obsessed with OUR club as YOU are. :bdick:

2-0 and deserved, very good half, look good going forward with energy movement and strength, should be 3-0.

Bradford look poor at back

Darlo losing 3-0 at Farsley.

Sounds like the pitch is an overgrown shocker. No good for our fluid attacking football.

Farsley 3 Darlington 1 now - Adam Campbell with a terrific strike gives us hope.

Tyrone O'Neill on for Jamie Holmes as we switch from 4-5-1 to 4-4-2

Altrincham 1-3 York - big statement from York, that.

Might as well hand them the title now.

5-0 Curzon and easily could have been more.

Probably best performance I seen from Curzon, look slick going forward.

Whether that is down to Curzon being excellent or BPA being shocking the season will tell us

It would make a change for BPA to be for once as rubbish as people predicted they were going to be. A great result for Curzon regardless, 5-0 is 5-0.
