Cooper's task now really has to be finding a settled team and developing the form to confirm play-offs and give us a chance. Of course we might get lucky with our rivals results but that's not likely and out of our hands. As manningtreeheed suggests, you can't rebuild a team two or three times a season and expect the consistency needed to be champs, what we ought to have is a side and style in there that can still challenge despite our various wobbles.

I've basically written the FA Trophy games off to be honest because we don't really play the first team in it anyway, so they're effectively rest days for most.

It may be even tougher next year, i can see aldershot being a force and undoubtedly allen will turn eastleigh around, barrow will be stronger as will wrexham plus if orient or notts county come down they could be a force too!

And not forgetting cashbags fylde under the legend dave challoner

The 2 or maybe 3 of the 4 that miss out this time around will find it a lot tougher next time around i think

Everyone says that every year but there's always several clubs that under achieve and the standard of this division is getting worse and worse.

Number of games, absolutely no worries at all. Yesterday proved that we're one of/the fittest team in the division, we kept pace with a PL side and landed the knockout blow. We have enough cover as well.

I look forward to every challenge the next two months in the Conference will bring, because it's likely at the minute they'll be our last.

I didn't realise the exact implications of the results yesterday until I looked at the table this morning. Sutton and Braintree have been pulled right back into this mess now!

Lincoln seem to have this knack of grinding results and winning against better footballing teams. Us at their place and Forest Green away prime examples of this. Similar to Cheltenham last year really.

However we have a near perfect record against the bottom half and with 9 games still to come against the bottom half that alone could get us playoffs, it's the games against FGR, Dover, Barrow etc that will decide whether we get 86 or 96 points.

One of our fans has put together a compilation of Tollitt's goals and assists since he joined us, which is worth seeing. You have to bear in mind he has only been with us for three months.

Watch this and salivate Martin Allen........

Am getting more and more impressed with the Lincoln and their manager, a very classy act, and the only downer on what has already been a quite memorable season for the imps, could easily be soured in the summer when I can see a championship side or top Division one side coming in and whisking him away.
All that said, watched the match in Ferribys club house yesterday and though it made no difference to any us, you could touch the atmosphere and nerves everyone felt in those last five minutes and the final whistle was greeted by a loud round of applause from both sets of supporters.
A huge well done to everyone at Lincoln, the stuff of real dreams for you all, brilliant

Though the score suggests otherwise it was a much easier and ultimately deserved vitory against a workmanlike opponent who in fairness are doomed to relegation both by finishing bottom and or by the FA's pathetic ground grading scheme, which is a real shame for what is a typical NL tea, and a right friendly bunch of supporters who follow them.
From our perspective it was heart warming to see Kinnear for the first time oin God knows how long change tactics and at last play two up front, and it meant we were much more fluid, and as a consequence the midfield far more fluid.
Miller somehow got MOM and 9 out of 10 in the NL today but am not sure how, he played well enough, and for 30 minutes run Ferriby ragged, but he looks like he's playing with one booking from a two match ban very much on his mind!
It was a shame the Ferriby team wasn't as friendly as their supporters mind, as they simply could not have put more effort into collectively getting Lafayette sent off if they had tried, quite pathetic really.
Deverdics showed why he was such a popular figure at the Crabble last season and Healey who must have waited two months to get a start, is becoming a very influential figure sitting nest to him.
Their goal was down more to poor positioning from Arnold than it was tom the strike which was average at best, but surprisingly didn't ever think we wouldn't win.
The only thing that has to surely happen is that we now drop Orlu to the bench, never to be seen in a starting eleven again and bring in N'Gala net week against his old team. How that hasn't happened already escapes me, but when we do that for the first time this season, more so as he has pushed Miller up, I actually think we could scrape into that coveted fifth spot. I do feel we have actually a strong enough squad to do it.

Very annoying loss yesterday but still created chances against 10 men for 80 minutes. Should have really got a draw minimum but we've been crap with penalties all season and missed it. We're really short in midfield and that is not changing soon. Think we could struggle now for the next few weeks unless one or two get fit.

There are plenty of twists and turns left this season yet. Im sure we've all watched football long enough to appreciate nothing is done yet.

Bizarre thing is, I still think we can win the league yet I'm not even sure of the play offs. Could go either way for all involved. Just takes a good/bad run of form at the right/wrong time

Panic at maidstone i bet
First reading of this thread. We committed suicide at the Gallagher. We play ok if we play 442. We got beat last week at home not playing 442 and McCarthy said he'd learn from his mistake, but what does he do, he plays 451. We give away a dozen corners, most of them preventable, Maidstone look like scoring off most of them and do off 3 of them. At half time he moves the brilliant 19 year-old Sam Hughes from RB where he's wasted and plays him in midfield and brings on striker Kane Richards. Result we win the second half 2-0. Sam Hughes can play anywhere, but his best position is CH. Macca hasn't played him there for 3 months. I fucking give up. We won't go down, but we've been atrocious since the end of November. I feel sorry for James Alabi, who plays alone most of the time when he's most effective in a 442. We're saddled with Macca now til the end of 2019, we've an assistant manager that's too busy to turn up for games and half our players are carrying injuries.

As much as you love Leamington highlights?
Probably more. No actually thinking about it I love the commentator that has to call him by his full name as Tollitt would not be enough to help the idiot listeners to decipher who he's talking about.

Didn't go to Bromley yesterday but another clean sheet and up to 14th in the league. Our gaffer, Liam Mcdonald has done a fantastic job since he took over in November and he has had his critics with the huge turnover of players that we have had over the past 3 months, but the team we have at the moment is significantly better than the team we started the season with. Survival in sight and it's only February :2thumb::2thumb:

Any more of that and we'll be taking Connor Jennings back.

Can't understand why you've such a downer on Tollit. The only negative is Ben goes to ground a bit too easily on occasion, but not in the Klinsmann class. One of the most naturally talented players I've seen at Rovers in a long time.

No downer on Tollitt whatsoever, looks a good player. I like wingers to go down, far too many are too honest for me.

Sharing a tin pot video labelled as "worth seeing" on the other hand....

Still absolutely gutted, had a few days off and just can't believe it's going to be play offs again! Gateshead looked very tidy bloody great finish from wes York! We didn't defend well and didn't take our chances so deserved to lose.

Well done Lincoln btw was in a bar in Newcastle watching the game and met a friendly Lincoln fan in the pub and ended up watching it with him and it's fair to say we both went mental when you scored! Keep doing non league proud lads, bloody great to watch!
