Liam Hardy's gone back to Buxton on a month loan
Good signing for Buxton, just what they needed. He was a cracking player during his last spell at Silverlands, shame he hasn't been able to replicate it with Darlo

Yes Hardy's a great finisher but has fallen out of favour with Nathan Cartman and Mark Beck being preferred, now Lewis Walker is also here it's probably for the best, hopefully he'll get some games and help Buxton at the top of the NPL

It is amazing how disastrously it has gone at your place........cannot see you winning again this season to be honest with what is happening today (thought this was your chance)

Harrogate 1-0 BPA and Curzon have taken the lead at Telford.....big goal for us that.

Yes it is. On November 21st 2015, we were 17th in the National League. 4 wins in the subsequent 47 league games.

Real shame that Morgan's left you but I couldn't be happier. 2 goals for him today in our 6-2 away win at Tamworth!

Just got home from Tamworth. What a day and what a result to go with it, definitely one of those games you just didn't want to end. Shame about Lynch being out just as Sinnott is returning to fitness, those two work very well together. Shame about Peniket being suspended for three games as well, just hope his form continues when he returns.

One of the highlights of the day though was about 5 of us singing Bohemian Rhapsody just about all of the way through, can't remember if it was after the third or the fourth though!

Down to 9 men for much of the second half, with ainge grabbing another well taken header and then being given two laughable bookings. A penalty saved in the second and a great effort all round.
A one nil that was better than the previous weeks 6-3.

2-0 win for Darlo 3 points and a clean sheet, crap game and a slightly disappointing crowd of 1837. Onto the next.

That play-off battle is going to be extremely interesting. I personally feel Fylde have the title, but after that who comes 2-5 is almost impossible to say, thought Stockport and Halifax were out of it then suddenly Stockport hit excellent form and fax start to get some good wins, you also have Brackley as the dark horse who have so many games in hand it could either easilly propel them into the top 5, or else burn them out.

Then Kidderminster, Chorley, Darlington, Salford, Tamworth who have all been pretty solid most of the first half of season.

Tamworth? Really? 10 goals past them this season, they were shit when we played them in the Trophy last season too. Nothing between the others you mention though, there's very little quality in this league. :bdick:

BUFC v Chorley.
Passed a 10am pitch inspection by a local ref. Suspect one side would be firmer from the ref but bright sunshine and well above freezing all morning in Boston.
Ref gets there, we're happy to play, waits for Chorley to arrive and at 2pm they arrive, say that with oots its dodgy and he calls it off. Totally spineless. Makes us look tinpot for making them travel, especially having suffered ourselves twice at Witton, and the 800 crowd as opposed to 1000 will cost us about 2 grand and made my saturday an expensive 100 mile trip for a few beers
And i'll likely not be able to go to the replay

We have a big game tomorrow at home to Worcester.

watching the telford highlights (they have very good you tube highlights) looks like we have the old problem, we play some excellent football but have absolutely nothing in the middle, flogged some great opportunities to make it 2 or 3-0 and that allowed them back into game as they made it 1-1 rather than us killing it off.

We need a player to attack the box, not very easy to find, but i see some of the highest scorers in Northern first division are from manc teams like Trafford, Mossley, Radcliffe and Droysden so i am hoping we are maybe keeping an eye out there.

I think altrincham and Stalybridge are gone, but the last relegation place seems between Telford, Curzon, Worcester, Alfreton, Gainsborough and BPA so games vs each other will be crucial and sadly for us we flogged the first of these vs Telford on sat.

Need a win really as i am dismissing anything on saturday against Fylde and week after vs Darlington so this is a must win.

Finished Curzon 1-1 Worcester tonight. Good result for us.

We host Worcester now on Saturday.

We were abysmal in the return game and got embarrassed 5-3 by a poor side... need to make up for that.

A frustrating evening. We did enough to win that game, but don't have enough to win it.

Played ok, restricted them to very little and put pressure on them in large spells. Sadly we flogged a penalty, gave away a stupid goal through a sheer lazy pass when in attack around their box and simply didn't test them anywhere near enough.

Same problem as 3 months back, we play well but have 7 players outside box creating a chance for one player inside it.......and when we do on a rare occasion have 3-4 in box it normally leads to a bad ball into it.

A shame because the actual play is at times superb. Just a player or two off a good side, but no money for them......still with only 181 there last night and no money man they are working wonders to be in this solid position

Some good news for Curzon who get back Mark Warburton from Salford. Was top scorer I think last season before leaving in summer for the cash.......it ain't worked out so back he comes, a massive boost after losing morgan

Seemed to play in a deeper role for Salford whenever I saw him which is partly why I think it didn't work out for him there.

Oh and it's Matty.

Haha my bad....i only followed them after he went.

The fans on forum are delighted, Salford probably had too many brought in and didn't know how to use them all.

Just happy as we desperately needed another attacker or we had a real chance of relegation. To sign up a guy with 14 goals last season is good

I am surprised how easily you've welcomed him back with open arms with the way he left you tbh.

For me it is a club with a very close knit community feeling.....fans, management and players all link up on facebook and twitter as friends talking about anything and just has a 'load of mates' feel to it all.......probably that small non league club community thing many have below this level. Therefore is never negativity or bitterness or malice, was just good luck for Morgan who was even more mercenary, just an acceptance that players may go as others pay more and good wishes and in this case a delight that one tried, didn't work out and came back. It is very different to the 'them and us' fans/club style I used to see at Carlisle.

Curzon is like Conf North version of 'the good life' nice in its way, but annoying sometimes for a fan used to moaning about errors and faults.

I guess most clubs with 500 or less fans will be very similar.

We've brought in midfielder Elliot Osborne on loan from Fleetwood - potentially another loanee from Bolton to come in tomorrow as well.
