An all time record of the team sheet at 1.15 today and the added time announced over the tannoy. Things that never happened under Nicky.

Hahahaha. Comedy gold. Did whoever manages Alfreton now print them off himself and announce it over the tannoy?

Alfreton 1-1 Stockport (Hearn 90, Amis 39)

Not the best game today. The pitch is the worst I have seen it in a few years. And on a cold and dull afternoon both sides really struggled to deal with it. Credit to our groudsman that we managed the game on.

We are looking so much more solid defensively. Absolutely transformed. You would find it hard to believe its the same time who absolutely cabed in at Harrogate. Tight first half with few chances. Stockport looked the more likely though and took the lead 5 minutes before half time after a good header from Amis.

Second half. More of the same. We huffed and puffed and in truth didnt look like scoring. Stockport looked on their way to a win. A typical away win for them this season I would say. Solid and tough to break down and take a chance.
That was until the first minute of added time when a Stockport defender allowed the ball to go out of play thinking it was a goalkick but the Ref awarded a corner to his amazement. Paul Marshall swung it in and after an almighty goal mouth scramble Liam Hearn poked home to grab a deserved point. Dont think either side did enough to win so a draw was a fair result. Stockport perhaps shaded it but never looked like adding to their lead.

Liam Hearn has certainly popped up with some crucial goals in an otherwise difficult season. Some of the scruffiest he has probably ever scored today and against Altrincham but they have won 4 massive points.

An all time record of the team sheet at 1.15 today and the added time announced over the tannoy. Things that never happened under Nicky.

Poor turnout from us though, even by our standards in a crowd of 993.
Great support from County as always.

We are looking much better and keep playing as we are we wont go down.

That looks to be between Gainsborough and Worcester.

I think that's a bit generous to us tbh. Whilst we probably shaded the first half without being especially dangerous that second half performance was one of the worst I've seen us put in all season. We barely got out of our half. If any Alfreton forward could shoot straight they would've won easily. We just didn't look up for a physical battle today which given the conditions, the state of the pitch and the size of some of Alfretons players it was always going to be that sort of game.

Saying all that word has it the corner Alfreton scored from should have been a goal kick so maybe we should consider ourselves unlucky.

Not too disheartened however. We tend to raise our game against direct rivals in the bigger games so with Salford, Kiddy, Chorley, Fylde and Tamworth coming up in the next few weeks we have an opportunity to prove we deserve a play off place.

Great point considering the shit we were in after 45 minutes. No excuses though. Worst performance of the season by a country mile. Great second half and we looked like the side we had been all season. Sampson looks great and macdaid certainly made an impact with him getting a goal and an assist in his first 10 minutes! Their keeper was sent off for punching or trying to punch O'Keefe. Best thing O'Keefe has done all season!

And right on cue, Neil Aspin: "this club could not exist without the chairman putting his money in" - just now on BTSports. Gateshead as Tin Pot as they come. You heard it here first. :£:£:£:£
The same statement applies to several clubs. Bit of sour grapes is it r.e. Neil aspins seen as though he achieved your highest ever position and season he was sacked you went down. Is there any football club you have a good word for?

You're a straw man pal and yes, as you well know, there are lots of clubs I have good words for: all of our great and historic, brother Football League clubs, including Crewe Alexandra who rose for a decade, and more, above their station by virtue of good coaching, tactics and player development, under the tutelage of Dario Gradi. Theirs was the model of the proper way smaller clubs should progress. I have also recently lauded Altrincham, rather to the embarrassment of the Altrincham fan, as a genuine, 24 carat non league club whose modest success is founded on a solid core of support. I also have a high regard for Chorley, whose rise from the Unibond has ONLY been possible on the back a fairly inexplicable explosion in support from a couple of hundred just a few years ago to around 1500 now. Any student of my posts will realise that my antipathy is reserved exclusively for those outfits who seek to purchase an unearned and undeserved place in the hierarchy at the expense of other clubs who go about things properly, and in doing so distort the non league economy, i.e the wages and transfer market, to the extreme disadvantage of those other clubs. No wonder the other non leaguers despise the Gatesheads, the Forest Greens, the Salfords, the Fyldes, the Fleetwoods, and all the other frauds like yours. :£:£:£

Throughly deserved 3-2 win over Salford in what was a pulsating game, proper end to end stuff with a edgy atmosphere thanks to Cheltenham Towns completely pointless stewards. We played them off the park first half and was some of the best football I've seen us play in years. Second half was more equal with Singh pulling off a couple of good saves. Five minutes of injury time found from God knows where made it a tense finish as Salford bombed forwards but we held on.

Considering the completely embarrassing interviews our owner gave to the local paper this week that could have knocked us for six but fair play to Tim Harris. Four wins on the bounce now, we might not be out of that promotion race yet..

You are a bitter man and would rather see clubs stagnate than progress. you have a hatred for flyde and Salford but they would bring more to the conference premier than AFC Halifax. For starters Salford are a much older club than Halifax and will
Have a pro squad and new stadium. If we all had your attitude non league would be players n boot money and stadiums falling apart.

I can safely say that Salford & Fylde have NOTHING to offer the Conference or indeed football in general. I can see why you wish to throw your lot in with them though. Birds of a feather and all that. :£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£:£

To be fair, the only reason why we had a rise in attendance is because Garry flitcroft came in.

Gainsborough going down, probably won't be appointing a new manager till the summer, losing 5-1 to one of the few teams below them and won once since October.

But, we still have hardly any money after the theft of £70,000 in 2011 and our highest paid player is on £250

Am I correct in saying Trinity have never been relegated in their history? They've been in the North since is started and prior to that they were always pretty safe in other leagues and jumped around because of new/disbanded leagues down the years.

To the Halifax fan, we own our own ground, we have no debt, we have more fans than you and we also have a better side than you. On that basis I would say that we would offer more than your lot in the league above

Enjoy your day

Don't tell me O'Keefe was too quick for him?

All Mars symbols who only signed up to 1FF because they're annoyed that some teams exist that still don't have sugar daddies.

Seeing them get owned by B2TF is pretty embarrassing. It's like a group of supervillains on a kids TV show who are always getting outwitted by a talking duck.

Yeeeessssssss!! Burry is back!

We've had snow up in the Pennines today. The road conditions are tough, and I can see steam whenever I breathe out. Luckily, whenever I feel too cold all I have to do is remember this video. I get so red with embarrassment that the heat makes my fingers and toes move again in no time.

I'm amazed it's still going on. Must have been 2 weeks now this argument* has gone on for.

*pointless debate

Only a Halifax fan could possibly write a phrase like "seeing them get owned" and after seeing the amount of knuckle dragging, stone island wearing, spotty faced chavs that support them, it comes as no surprise. Sugar daddy, no sugar daddy, history, no history. Absolutely none of that matters. You would mull around in the league above until you inevitably got relegated, again. At least us a Salford would actually provide the league with 2 decent stadiums, 2 teams that will progress and 2 teams that would compete. You live in the past, whilst we continue to progress

Sorry but I would say Salfords stadium is "decent". Its fucking awful and needs some serious work on it.
