Seems like Nuneaton are trying a bit of a backward version of Peterborough's transfer policy.

The latter sign up and coming players from the leagues below and sell-on but Nuneaton seem to be FT to entice those young players who have fallen out the FL and then sell them on.

Well I can't believe there's been a nil nil at mill farm. I think the draw with Stockport was a fair result. We started really well then they came back into it. Incredible support from Stockport. By far the loudest side to visit us this season. Massively surprised they took Lloyd off though as he looked their only real threat. I see kiddy scored a late winner. Great result on a plastic pitch. Still all to play for

Seriously- how the fucking hell are we still in the play-offs? This is the worst Conference North in living memory. On behalf of The Shaymen, I'd like to thank y'all for being even more useless than we are. :fl::fl::fl:

Alfreton 1-0 Boston (Hearn 41)

12 home games unbeaten in all comps
3 straight home wins
10 points clear of relegation
First win over Boston since 2007

Perfect night for us.

The win itself was hard fought tonight. Boston where all over us for the majority of the second half and a combination of inspired defending, top goalkeeping and poor finishing got us the 3 points.

In truth if either side shaded a tight first half it was boston. Their best chance coming when Louis Briscoe`s smacked the post before Robinson couldnt react to the rebound. When our chance came though we was clinical with Richards who IMO had his best game for us tonight bombed forward abd crossed for Hearn to power a header home.

Second half it was all Boston. They were pretty loose in possession though and wasted a lot of decent openings. With 10 minutes to go superb defending from Monkhouse and then a fantastic goalline clearance from Jordan Richards from a Batchelor header kept them out as Boston really begin to press. I thought in truth though that Boston where poor. Sheer hard work persistence and determination got us te win tonight and that is what has kept in this division!

Wow. Crucial win for Kidderminster tonight. How many goals is that against tamworth now thi sseason? 16 in 3 games?

Its getting very tight for the play-offs now isnt it? Not heard much from the Darlo fans recently? Confident you can nick 5th?

If Halifax had lost tonight surely Billy Heath was a goner?

While at the bottom it continues to big a battle between Worcester and Gainsborough for who can be just that little bit more shit.

We played well tonight and dominated Salford at their place, robbed at the end with a last kick equaliser, still play like that and we will make the play offs, no doubt. Jack Sampson netting his 7 th goal in 9 games since joining us from Macc.

Looking at the table and with our remaining fixtures and home form, incredibly from looking in real bother at the start of March a 12th place finish looks attainable. Certainly if we can go to Gloucester on Saturday and a pick up an away day success.

14 give Tamworth's defence some credit :fl:

Honestly first half we weren't good and Tamworth deservedly led 2-0 after poor defending a scrappy freekick which we didn't clear and Newton finished on the line before Styche slotted a penalty home then celebrating right in front of us. Thankfully we got a goal a minute before the whistle went thanks to Ironside.

Second half we made a change and took of an ineffective Austin for Truslove and pushed Ngwatala out wide. Second goal came from a free-kick Ty Williams of all people nodding home but he still doesn't convince me. The third came from Belford spilling the ball after a Truslove long shot and Ironside scored on his second attempt. Cue shouts of "Reece Styche what's the score" from the Harriers fans.

Their equaliser came from a screamer looked like 25 yards out Deeney hit it into the top corner, but we got a very late winner Keith Lowe nodding home a corner.

Ironside could be a terrific signing for us early days yes but if he performs like he did today it could be the difference between promotion or staying down here. I swear I heard he produced one of the worst misses at Dover ;) definitely looked clinical today.

If we carry on with the momentum we have had recently, then I see no reason why we cannot consolidate our place in the play-offs. Our next 2 games are against BPA & Gainsborough, so confident we can get 6 points - But you never know.

We've still got Fylde & Salford away to face. The latter for the last game of the season.

Would agree with all of that tbh

First 10-15 minutes it looked like we were a man down, had to weather the storm but did so well, ended up finishing the game probably the stronger of the two sides but could've very easily gone either way. Wouldn't have been a fair result though. Probably the best nil-nil I've seen in a while.

Also, the first time I've been able to take a pint into the stand whilst watching the game, and not had to hide it under my jacket between sips! Wish it was like that at more grounds

The words quietly going about our business spring to mind. We can go 4th with a home win tonight again Bradford PA. Which would put us right back amongst it. I think Kiddy and Salford will make it over the line for the playoffs but the next 2 spots are all to play for between chorley, Halifax, Darlo and Stockport. Of those teams Halifax seem to have the hardest run in. Not to forget last game of the season includes Salford v Darlo and Halifax v Chorley. Still a long way to go, but I'd be more than happy for no one to talk about us till the end of the season and we squeeze into 4th or 5th.

Except of course it's not though. . This is one of the most competitive Conference Norths there has been. You must have got used to the High class quality of the National.

Heath's job is safe no matter what- squandered money paying off 2 managers last season, the B.O.D will be loathe to squander still more in paying up the remaining 18 months on his contract. Looks like we're stuck with him and his North Ferriby circus for another season.

Wrong! I've seen all the "top" teams- only one would have been a threat last time we were in the league: Brackley! You're mistaking "competitive" for quality. I can assure you this is the shittiest Town side since our first season in Unibond leagues- Neil Aspin's first Shayman team in Unibond North would have romped this division.:bdick:

Gainsborough do not have an easy run in at all. But I still can't see Worcester surviving.

Slightly worried about you catching us harrier. We haven't played particularly well for weeks now and you looked the real deal especially in the first half on Saturday. We also have no fit centre backs now and maguire has gone back to his parent club and dom got injured last night. Also, Sam Finley (who's a massive loss for us) got sent off at Saturday. Get past the Halifax game and your remaining fixtures looks winnable

I agree Brackley have looked good but there not the best team in the league this season. Individual quality has meant that Fylde have been able to look quite poor and still smash in 3. Just having Rowe makes them a bigger threat. . Plus Kiddy have been tough all season and ultimately, the table doesn't lie.

What happens if Stalybridge are unable to fulfill that last of their fixtures?

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
I would think staly if it persists may play elsewhere......curzon is 45 mins walk away and so is Hyde.......mossley or Ashton Utd grounds are even nearer, but am unsure about ground standards.

We can beat anyone at home and if Halifax are as bad as B2TF says they are then we should win. Honeslty our two last really tough games are our next 2 in Harrogate and Halifax. But your fixtures aren't looking too bad either.

Fylde
Nuneaton Town (A)
Darlington 1883 (H)
Stalybridge Celtic (A)
FC Halifax Town (A)
Bradford Park Ave (H)
Boston United (A)
Worcester City (H)

Harriers
Harrogate (H)
Halifax (H)
Gloucester (A)
Stalybridge (A)
Boston (H)
Alty (A)
Gainsborough (A)
BPA (H)

Win our game in hand and the gap is 6 but I can't see you dropping those other 6 points.
