Cheers SS, every club has a minority of nobheads, hope you go on to have a good season in National, also hope to renew acquaintances again in a season or so time.

Good we shall have him, but can probably only offer a 4 pack of rolo's.

Am unsure now whether this league will be tougher or alot easier next season. I don't see NFU or Southport doing anything, York may still depend on the finances. Kiddy will depend on what they can hold onto and probably same with Chorley. Darlo may now be having some off field issues which could effect on field side of things and Salford/Harrogate going full time will certainly help both, but it may take them a season of transition first for it to really show effect (both will probably lose key players who want to stay part-time and bring in new ones because of the full time)

Suppose by mid-July we shall know whether it is looking much tougher or not.

Congrats Halifax great to see you bounce back straight away! That NLN just gets stronger every year, good time to escape.

Hopefully Stockport can replicate or go one better next season

Someone on the Curzon forum has posted the provisional choices for next season and looking like we shall lose Gloucester to the Conf South and not Brackley like most expected.

I suppose we're now looking at survival next season. We have a very solid defence and a manager with one of the best records in non league but the attack needs doing up as does centre of midfield. Need a proven goalscorer and a quality centre midfielder or I fear it might be another case of squeaky bum time come the end of the season.

Telford most likely for the Boxing/New years day games for us.

Also who thought Brackley staying north was a clever idea? Gloucester are moving to Evesham next season. It just makes sense to move Brackley down south.

Gutted to lose Gloucester. Was looking forward to visiting Evesham. Instead we get another trip to soulless Brackley. Urgh. Poor decision.

We're gonna smash it. I'm a Billyver, are you? :bdick:
I am indeed but I'd be pleased to avoid the drop next season. With solid additions to the squad we would have the building blocks for a playoff push in the following 3-4 years maybe sooner.

No good if we don't go full time. Teams have shown (including us) you can make the playoffs as a part time outfit but you can't win them.

Have you read Peacock's statement he made to the Courier? Surprisingly he does seem willing to turn us full time if he sees it as the right time or simply necessary. Whether it'll happen or not is another thing but full time is definitely on the cards.

It will happen in the next 2 seasons, I'm sure.

Congratulations to Halifax, a game that could've gone either way. Amazing support from both teams. The referee ruined a good game, made some awful decisions, Denton should've been off for an elbow and the number 15 got away with a talking to for going in studs up on the keeper, but then again, i am a Chorley fan, so it is obviously going to be in favour of us, and Sampson could've been off for a tackle on their left back. Once again, congrats to fax!

This is my guess at the Christmas fixtures. A few surprises in there. Any other thoughts?

Telford v Kidderminster
Alfreton v Darlington
Blyth v Spennymoor
Boston v Gainsborough
Bradford PA v Harrogate
Chorley v Southport
Curzon v FC United
Stockport v Salford
Leamington v Nuneaton
North Ferriby v York
Tamworth v Brackley
Pity Whitby ain't up too would have been a good local game for derby. Going to be interesting league next season and great to see 4 north east teams n especially spennymoor who are a newish club

If we don't want brackley and the southerners don't want 'em, can they just have their own league?
