Fleet and Dartford up would be great, particularly if the Stones stay up too!

I want all the Stones to stay up, whoever you may be.

Would absolutely make my year if we go up, Dartford stay down and Maidstone go down, although as long as we go up I will be delighted.

Tough game for us Saturday. Hungerford are no mugs.

You play Margate next.
They've lost 14 out of the last 15 games, surely you ain't bad enough to lose to them.

Margate haven't scored at home since October according to somebody on our forum. Madness if true!

Ha. You've not seen us play in our last 4 matches. Stones Goals highlights from Monday night was 38 seconds long - kick off and the full-time whistle which sums up the zero entertainment being offered at the moment. Still, as discussed at our AGM tonight if you are to rejoin us next year (pending we survive) there should be a nice 875 capacity covered terrace going up at the Gun Turret end of Grosvenor Vale over the summer.

Is that the terrace you were rumoured to be getting off Barnet??

Returning to it's rightful owners I'd imply, but yes.

Terms are in place where we'll get it for free but have to pay a contractor to dismantle the stand, transport it from Canons Park to Ruislip and then re-construct at the ground - somewhere in the area of £25,000 it's expected to cost.

Plans have also been drawn up for a potential 600 seater main stand which can be expanded up to 1,000 (this would be lease and football foundation grant dependent). Everything off the field is massively on the up, however we're a joke on it right now.

Up until 2017, we was exactly the same. still not convinced on McMahon, but carry on the way we have been and I may have to reconsider my McMahon out verdict! As we know too well, we go on a good run then it all comes crashing down. Fortunately, this is more than just a good run currently. 6 wins on the trot in 2017 with no loss (excluding FA Trophy). Hungerford at home will be a test I expect, but we should have too much for them in all honesty.

No surprise Hungerford were 15, orwhatever it was, games unbeaten before they played us. Good outfit.

Healthy crowd of 1300 plus for us too. Delighted.

Margate 0-1 Wealdstone (Att: 547)

90 minutes of football which was insulting to not only my eyes, but also to Step 6 football. It says it all when the most entertaining moment of yesterday was when 20-30 of our supporters had a heated debate about whether a free kick hitting the crossbar was on target or off target (it's off target FWIW), that and some bloke who I don't think I've ever seen before in a Stones shirt off his trolley and singing incoherently by himself.

The end to the season can't come soon enough.

The wait for a Margate home goal goes on...

We have them in April. Will let them score if they haven't already.

Really struggling. Surprises me as they have Reece Connolly and Ben Swallow amongst their ranks, two capable players at this level.

So since the turn of the year, we've won 7 on the spin, keeping 6 clean sheets, scoring 17 and conceding 2. Pretty impressive, especially as 4 of those games were against sides in the top 6. Two tricky away games coming up in Hemel (tomorrow) and Bath, now we'll see what we're made of.

Finishing work to hear the news our former skipper and assistant manager Paul McCarthy has had a heart attack and died, aged just 45.

Genuinely gutted. Brilliant defender in his time, one of the best at this level, and an absolute gent. True leader on and off the pitch.

R.I.P Macca. :(

Wasn't in Hemel just night but, going by twitter reports and people's views, sounds like your typical game of two halves. We could have had a few first half, but got just the one and the same for them second half, although it sounds like Nathan Ashmore in goal was the only contender for man of the match in the second half!

Can't complain, 7 wins in the last 8. Just hope we don't have a blip now... especially with Maidenhead not playing so well lately.

Apparently we are trialing a young player who plays in the National League South and has done for the past two seasons but prior to that was at the academy of a Championship team. Any ideas who that might be? I must say I know very little about the South league.

Could be anyone mate. Won't be anybody from us as I'm not sure we got any youngsters from the Championship.

Probably from Hungerford or something!

Back to the top! On alphabetical order! Us and Maidenhead have the same points, goals scored, and conceded! Obviously they have a game in hand though.

Didn't go to Bath, but sounded like we just sat back after going a goal up. Luckily Bath failed to threaten. 200 or Fleet fans there by all accounts.

Welling United 0-1 Wealdstone (Att: 506)

A classic, one for the ages. Ricky Wellard's header in the second half winning it for the Stones. I'd hazard a guess at just over 100 of us there yesterday and unusually for an away game we had 3 sides of the ground singing in unison.

My local game on Tuesday night at St. Albans. They can't buy a win or keep a clean sheet whilst we've done that in the last two games so 3-0 St. Albans.

What's it like down here then? Beginning to plan for the inevitable the way Nicholson has us playing at the moment!

I'll let you go to Concord and Whitehawk for yourself and find out!
Cant say i been there, but from pictures Poole's ground actually looks worse than both of them

Poole is a step up from a sunday league set up. Small seated stand on one side (straddles the halfway line) and a small covered terrace behind one of the goals. The other two sides are just flat standing. Very welcoming people there though, and Poole is a nice enough place!

Not been, but I'm sure Poole in general is a far better away day than both of them. I couldn't even be bothered to go to Whitehawk this season. Awful club, awful ground, and fans are absolute wankers.

Yeah, Tatnam is incredibly basic (the covered end only has one step) but as stated before it's not for want of trying. Being on a school field, they're severely restricted in the infrastructure they can build at the ground. Whitehawk is worse but both are massively assisted by being in good drinking towns. Now as for Canvey Island...

My first visit there (Concord) we went to a pub called the Monico. No lie, there was a fully grown man dressed as a schoolgirl.

Strange, strange place.
