The most average player I've seen Joe Clarke has signed for Leamington.

We have announced the re-signing of Stephen O'Halloran from Salford City.
Played for us for 2 season's and was outstanding when played at CB so pleased to see his return.

We're overly strong on the left side of defence now, I'd expect Cartwright or Duxbury to end up somewhere else, at least on loan. Really need a right-back though.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Curzon have had quite abit of news over the last week, As usually a fan of a league club i still cannot get used to these small non-league club summers where frankly everyone has no contracts can sign or b*gger off at an instant and you seem to have 10 come in, 10 go out etc, etc........takes some getting used to.

As it stands i think we have lost Warburton who has of course gone to Stockport....big loss for us as probably would score 20 goals for us as he suits our style. Also leaving on first team side of things is our goakeeper Hakan Burton who has decided to spend more time with family, playing nearer home i think (Most Curzon fans are gutted he's leaving as a fan fave, but i have to sort've say not too fussed as think he's very on/off and can find better)

On positive side we have kept Daniel Shaw and Naill Cummins our main Defender and Striker, both staying is crucial news for us.

Signed 3 players so far.....none really going to make you lot go 'oooh' and seem like a typical Flanagan signing of someone who has done ok in past, lost way and needs a decent manager to bring best out of them. Signed Paul Marshall as you know. Also signed Matthew Regan a defender who was playing at Stalybridge (He may be ok, was one of only about 6 players Burr wanted to keep of his whole squad) and lastly signed today Scott Bakkor, a striker who has been at Whitton, Colwyn Bay and Warrington.....don't know much on him really.

Wasn't expecting Arthur to stay here as he has been outstanding all season, I'm delighted for him. In terms of ability, he is good enough for League 1 but his biggest enemy is himself. He doesn't know how good he is. If he believes in his own ability, he will be a success. I thought if we could keep 2 from Arthur, Elton, ZFA and Tunnicliffe then that would represent success. With Arthur gone, Tunnicliffe is most important to keep, FL clubs might not risk Elton due to his shoulder injury. ZFA will probably leave though.

Another new signing for Curzon today. Steven Howson signed who was previously at Salford, regular and captain for them i think until last season when of course their resources have aimed them at higher up players.

should have a strong defence next season i think for us, now just need to sort that goalscorer.

Amazing or what ... I though Conference North was about his level.

Think he's matured since his Macc days, one of the exciting players we've had, can dribble past 3 players then bang in a goal as well as being able to pick out a cross. Tbh I don't think League 1 is his level but could easily make it at League 2 or the National.

Personally I don't think we will miss Arthur too much.
Don't get me wrong he would be great for this level, but the second half of the season was poor from him. Barring his wonderstrike at Chorley I don't think he contributed as much to the team as he should have. I think we have pretty much a ready-made replacement in Austin anyway, although technically, probably not quite as good yet.

ZFA should be the player FL clubs should be looking at, streets ahead of this level. Can see Tunnicliffe moving on.

As mentioned, Elton might stay due to his injury problems. Our season will depend on our replacements for these players but we will have kept a large spine of our team and I expect us to be comfortably in the top 5 (or top 7 should I say?) again next year.

Harrogate Town have signed Ryan Fallowfield from North Ferriby, on a 2 year deal. Looked like had had potential when he was with us before. Had a season playing against national teams. Not a bad signing I guess.
Hoping to see a few higher profile signings over the next few weeks. Another 8 or so signings and we have a team.

Anyone else get same feeling as me that North Gerriby may be about to go same way as Droysden and Hyde in plummeting down the league after conf national relegation

Yes. Think both Ferriby and Southport will both suffer successive relegation's.

Wouldn't say he was outstanding but happy enough with O'Halloran and he's certainly a big upgrade on CMW as a ball playing left-sided centre back.

Gannon obviously sees a future for Cartwright or he wouldn't have signed him up on a new contract, I think we see Duxbury go out on loan one the season gets up and running.

It would be nice to add some cover for Minihan at right back but I don't think he's hugely important at this stage. Both Smalley and Thomas have played in the RB role in there careers before and would be able to do a job for part of a game until a loanee was found if Minihan was injured.

Now an Irish Consortium is interested in investing in AFC Telford

BREAKING: Irish consortium wants to invest in Telford - led by businessman Anthony Mcmullen and includes Lee Marsh

Consortium tell me they want to offer £250,000 up front or invest £20,000 a month into Telford. Mcmullen tried to buy Livingston in past

I suppose anything must be good for telford at present, I am unsure where they are financially as one moment they are in financial trouble and cutting back, next minute they seem to sign a player who you'd think is on a decent wage.

Hope its better than the irish lot who bought Carlisle.....granted they chucked money at us, but we ended up relegated into the conference because for a while it went to a matey club of irish manager, coaches and players.

No, I think if they can keep their manager and the nucleus of their squad and their owners financial input they will be a good bet to make play-offs.

AFC Telford United have rejected an offer from an Irish consortium to become majority shareholder in the National League North club.

The group, led by Irish property developer Anthony McMullen, wanted 51% control of the Shropshire club.

But Telford say that they had concerns over the investment arrangement.

"The club board entered direct discussions with the potential investor from Ireland," the Shropshire club confirmed in a statement.

"There were a number of phone discussions and we met him face to face on 15 May and 19 May.

"The individual outlined a proposed structure for the club that substantially increased off-the-field operating costs by at least £150,000 per annum.

"There was no indication as to how these additional costs would be financed, given he was unable to finance the purchase of the shares."

I think that stopped before the beginning of last season.

Yeah that was what I thought. The NFU spending seemed to die a death Las summer.

I see Salford fans are pretty p*ssed their goalie the last season has left. A lot of pressure on that crocombe

Lewis Montrose - who won Player of the Season ahead of Danny Lloyd and his gazillion goals and assists - has left us and joined Fylde. He was on contract for next season but I don't believe the fee has yet been disclosed.

Gutted.

He wasn't much cop when he first joined us last season. Had a tendency to go missing in games and pick up silly bookings. He improved as the season went on, and this season he's been immense. A proper battler. Opposition players could only get the ball off him by bringing him down. His distribution can be a bit iffy though. A bit of an unsung hero as Danny Lloyd understandably got all the attention, so was glad he won Player of the Season.

I always thought we had a good chance of keeping hold of him as clubs would be put off by his lack of success at higher levels. Shows I know arse all.

Curtis Bateson resigned for the new season now,

We have also signed Leigh Hutchinson from Cleethorpes town. Now usually when it comes to lower league players i dont tend to cast much judgement but he is a striker who scored 6 goals in a team that bagged nearly 140 this season. 7 Players in Cleethorpes colours scored double the amount for him.

Odds on national league north top goalscorer?

Brackley continue to sign Solihull players left right and centre - apparently they didn't like the travelling in Conf Nat - although i can't think it is so much less in Conf North?

Solihull fans, what are the merits and drawbacks of GK Danny Lewis, ST Andy Lewis & DF Connor Franklin?

Think our manager is excellent, signed some great players last year and transformed the side - but they nearly all appear to be ex-Solihull / Nuneaton players, and we badly need some consistent forwards. Trouble is, too many big sides in Conf North for us to compete with - Salford look odds on, York & Kiddy will be good, then there's Harrogate (full time), Darlington, Alfreton (new investment), Nuneaton (getting back on feet) etc etc. Hard to compete....

Danny Lewis was always quality for us but I think his age had started to catch up with him recently. But should still be a good enough keeper at this level.
