West Ham won't finish in the bottom 3 I don't think. They have too much quality in their team.

Are you trying to get rid of me?

Not at all mate, I just don't think you're going to be very good. FdB will have you trying to play "the right way" and I don't think you have the players, and certainly not the defence, to pull it off.

I just don't think any of West Ham's signings will do well (bar Zabaleta, maybe). Joe Hart isn't a great goalkeeper, Hernandez scored less than 10 goals in the Bundesliga last season and Arnautovic has a massive ego. Although they have some quality, I still can't think of anyone else more likely to get relegated rather than them (apart from Swansea and Brighton).

I think you may well be right, we'll see come May.

Hopefully not, would much rather West Ham or Stoke go down.

With the window closed I'll go:

1. Man United
2. Liverpool
3. Man City
4. Chelsea
5. Tottenham
6. Arsenal
7. Everton
8. Southampton
9. Leicester
10. West Bromwich
11. Bournemouth
12. Stoke
13. Newcastle
14. Huddersfield
15. Swansea
16. Watford
17. West Ham
18. Crystal Palace
19. Brighton
20. Burnley

Top 10 and bottom 2 I feel fairly confident about the rest I have no fucking idea tbh. I probably overrate Hudds and Newcastle because of their managers but there you go.

Don't care but anyone thinking we'll be anywhere near the relegation zone needs committing.

so then, other than predicting burnley to go down, as most of us did, how did you do on predictions?

i got 3 of the top 4 right (only 1 in the correct position), swansea going down right, and the 3 promoted clubs surviving right. not bad. probably the winner of the thread and that tbh. well done me.

Saltire will throughout the season consistently predict us to do better than we actually do.
Well this was word for word accurate, posted in june, so it surely gathers some extra points.

Well we would've finished second had we not reached the CL Final, I'll take fourth and getting to that though every day, over finishing second.

Jesus Bilo you are getting further down in the dumps regarding Liverpool than Pags these days. For a lot of the first half of last season there was every chance we'd have a shot at the title, but the lack of depth scuppered that in January when injuries piled up and Mane was off in the AFCON. Flesh out the squad with quality this time around (and hopefully do better in the CL - if qualify - than last time) then we are in a good chance to give it a better go this time around. It will be even tougher to win the league next season I expect as Guardiola and Mourinho will really be going for it this year, but let's dream shall we. No point in being doom-mongers about it when the club is in a better position than its been in, in years.
Think my quote still holds up pretty well, apart from Mourinho actually going for it...

It’s hard to predict Liverpool doing better than a CL final, but somehow the Scotsman does it.

You’ll be winning the World Cup in his eyes soon.

With Coutinho going (or staying and being unhappy), combined with the fact our transfer window so far has been shite, we won't finish top 4.

1. Chelsea
2. City
3. United
4. Arsenal
5. Liverpool
6. Spurs
7. Everton
8. West Ham

Yeah, with it all being decided on the final day, it really was a far out, shit prediction.

And seriously, you have the cheek to laugh at a prediction of another Liverpool fan with the shite you come out with? :cool1:

I said we'd have a good season and we have, and one that may indeed even finish legendary (I dare to dream o you doubters!!). We have the right man in charge, which is why I was confident heading into this season. Think we'll push on next term too with quality depth being added - could it be our year finally once more!?! ;)
