Same thing at Dover
they said price freeze but early bird ticket price is same last seasons full price £270 [not £270, actually £315]
club won't even try to "speculate to accumulate" they push more that entry to friendlies is included/ sit if you want / cup ticket priority

We sold like, 1,200 season tickets at full price last year. I doubt we'll see a cut here soon.

This is a cracker, this. I can't quite believe it, tbh.

My ST seat is reserved until mid-June but earlier in the week, there was a rumour on a couple of forums that the EFL has stipulated we needed to erect two TV gantries in the main stand. The gantries always go where my seat is. Checked the website thinking I'd missed something but there was nothing there. If it was a one off game, they'd be something on the website telling us, although from experience we'd know that anyway.

Emailed the Club and it turns out it was true (they also updated the website after I'd sent the email). Turns out they knew about the gantries on the Friday before the ST's went on sale on the Monday but no-one has thought to contact all the ST holders in that area, the most densely populated area of ST holders, to tell us we'd need to move and we could choose other seats before all the newbies go in and buy all the alternatives up.

So 2½ weeks and 3,000+ sales on, they're trying to pigeonhole us into an area of the Stadium well away from where we sit because they 'forgot'. To give you an idea, I sit (well, stand) at the back on the halfway line and they're trying to put me in line with an 18 yard box in the lower tier.

I had one employee questioning why I hadn't rung the Club! I'm not sure how I can ring the Club about something I knew nothing of...

So in short, I can't sit in my ST seat, can't sit near 'my lot' because I choose to remain where I was thinking my seat was available and the Club knew all this before ST's even went on sale.

Not just me, there are a few others and mainly groups of people.

Unbelievable Geoff, I would be pissed too Luke. I know the club probably couldn't envisage such a large amount of ST sales in 9'days, however to not have the foresight to think about fans affected from the new gantry is beyond comprehension. It's such a shame when so many good things have happened on and off the pitch, that some things are still back in the dark ages at the club.

It's not the moving that was the problem really, it was that the Club knew for 2½ weeks, didn't tell anyone and instead, all those affected found out when an existing ST holder in that area went in and tried to renew.

Wrong thread mate.

That should be in the tinpot thread. Absolute joke on the club's part.

It's true, behind the scenes we are still very much tinpot. Alan Long is a nice guy but he shouldn't be responsible for these sort of things.

While we're at it, they desperately need to employ a proper press officer (me, anyone?).

We know, you're reluctant to move on, but there's nothing cool about being the big kid who spends all his time with the little kids and lords it over them... :bg1:

100 sold so far by us.

People are holding out until the situation with our owners are more clear, many don't want to hand their money over to our asset stripping cockney c*** owner that is still lingering in the background like a beer fart on a Sunday morning.

Went and got mine today. Sold around 500 so far apparently, which is more than I thought we would have, considering the increase in price.

Think it's about 200 up on last season so far.

Over 400 sold at the Early Bird Deadline. Would be good to get to the 500 mark by the time the season starts.

1786 sold at the end of the Early bird. They will probably extend that, they do every year.

We got 2.2k last year and I expect we'll sell about the same this year. Maybe a slight bump because we are GOING FOR IT

Only started selling ours two weeks ago, sold the 500th this morning. No fancy offers on or anything.

Usually sell just shy of 1,200 so we're on track. A bit relieved after the disastrous end to last season.

We're close to 600 I believe, which I'd guess is the most we've had (and more than double last season's figure). I'd imagine that's got more to do with the reduced capacity for half of the season though, with people not wanting to miss out on any all ticket games (only reason I got one). Hope I'm wrong though and it's people who have started going and enjoyed it so decided to invest in a season ticket. I'm guessing we'll end up with between 600 and 650.

Season tickets were reduced to £200 and record sales were achieved. Let's hope we can get back to the 1,300 average we had for the 2015/16 season.

Cracked the 2,000 mark, which isn't bad, all things considered.

The early ticket prices stopped last week and they announced we'd sold over 2600, 200 short on last season, pretty decent effort all things considered.

Bigger reality shock when Steve McNulty does a Cruyff turn around your striker.
You'll know it's happening because of the loud beeping sound and the phrase "THIS VEHICLE IS REVERSING" ringing out around the ground
