Mess for FGR though, Hummel you’d expect to do better. What was the actual issue causing the delay? It’s not like FGR would be a huge order!

Logistical issues at their UK factory or something apparently. Wouldn't shock me if they're in financial trouble. Several other Hummel clubs experiencing delays on their replica kits, including Rangers and Charlton, but they at least got their actual kit delivered, unlike us. We obviously weren't that much of a priority.

Must be one of the worst and shortest lived kit deals ever signed. Lets hope this new lot deliver something soon, no idea what we'll be wearing this weekend. All we've got is that blue Hummel shirt, plus a load of Hummel training gear.

Surely knowing how much of a media-fodder your chairman is, they should have prioritised you and not bothered with Charlton who hate their owners anyway.

In other news, our home kit finally goes on sale tomorrow.

It's the first one the Club itself has done (it's not the Club's usual Ebay account, mind, so I'm not sure what happened with the other one).

It used to be one guy who'd fundraise for the Club in our NL days (still does) and auction off lots of match worn Lincoln shirts and signed bits and pieces to raise money for the Club. I'm assuming he couldn't get charity status using his account and got various charges from Ebay against them.

He's probably raised close to £200k over the last few years or so doing it and other schemes.

Good news, if all goes well we should be able to launch our new kit by the 15th October.

Personally, I don't think it's tinpot for clubs to sell match worn players' shirts on ebay. For one, we do it too, and secondly (and yes I know this is hard to believe) there are people out there that like to collect unwashed sweat drenched footy shirts of their 4th div heroes.

That Lincoln City auction off their own player strips on eBay is pretty tinpot

Surely though, something like the very shirt Matt Rhead wore on the occasion of Lincoln's greatest ever sporting victory deserves to be in a museum for all the public to see, not auctioned off to some foreign billionaire collector who will keep it in a vault. It would provide a fantastic sister exhibit to the Magna Carta they already have and will ensure the tourists continue to flock to Lincoln long after everyone forgets what the Magna Carta even was.

You jest, but there was an exhibition at The Collection Museum in Lincoln over June and July, which was based on the league win, FA Cup run and Checkatrade win and that had the trophies, shirts, photo's, commentary and other bits so there was probably exactly that there (just before the foreign billionnaire collector bought it)... :D

We’ve done it for years but when someone somewhere is willing to pay £20 for a shirt worn by a random loanee who made 3 sub appearances, I’d call it easy money.

Either that or it can be sold with guy ropes therefore allowing an entire troop of boy scouts to sleep in it when they go on their late summer camp

So because Crewe have a red home kit and white away kit, the league said we needed an alternative for Cheltenham, Stevenage and Lincoln away. They released an ultra limited 100 run of the blue third kit this morning and sold the shelves by 9:15. I love it and was there to get one. Should have been our away kit.

Nice kit that.

How's things going with BLK Port Vale fans, saw on twitter Tom Pope wasn't particularly happy.

We've just suspended our partnership with them...

Sadly, there have been many issues, most important of which has been the difficulty, despite assurances, in maintaining adequate stock levels in the shop and provision of training kit for the First Team and Academy players

Been an utter shit show from the start! Avoid at all costs

A few players commented on it actually, they’ve been a huge let down really. The designs are superb and have resulted in the best selling kit but they’ve sold out and takes ages to get replacements. My home top when I got it was covered in ink marks so had to take it back and that wasn’t great either.

Low stock, and players still mainly wearing errea training gear as only got the tops!

It's a nightmare for us getting any kind of replica kits and merchandise too, albeit with Errera. Not sure they've learnt their lesson from last season.

Sizes also continue to be all over the place and a medium in a home strip isn't necessarily a medium in an away one etc.

Quite liked the Colchester black and grey camouflage away kit, something out of the ordinary.

Since this season is clearly not going to be a classic, we've already started thinking about our kits for next season.

Six drawings of kits have been put up in the club shop for fans to comment on. I wasn't allowed to take a photo with my phone, so obviously the designs will remain a closely guarded secret with the only way to see them being to view them in the shop.

Nevertheless, from memory
CUFC kit options 2019-20.jpg

Can't remember the specific detail of the trim, I'm not a machine, but one definitely had more standard looking white trim, one had red trim including side-panels and one had a collar.

Then one had this white bar with a narrow red bit, one had this two-colour tick and one had a sash and looked almost the same as our kit from a few seasons back, except maybe not dark blue on this occasion.

All but one had blue shorts for some reason. Think it was the one with the collar that had white but not sure, either way I presume white shorts will still be an option, all had blue socks.

Design no 1 is a definite no-no from me, as I think any Carlisle home shirt should always be blue plus white plus red. U no wot I mean. That makes no 2 (going clockwise here) another no-no, and also no 4: the one with the sash as it looks too Palacey I think. No 5 just looks plain silly imo. That leaves no 6 and no 3, and I'd go with the latter - I like the relatively simple shirt design and the white shorts.

I'm also guessing the one that I like is the one with the collar?

Ps sorry Shoddy, it has got a collar indeed. You said so in your last paragraph.
