Christ do you ever get even slightly off the fence.

I think you need to take another look at Norwoods hand pushing Winchester over! Does that really warrant a second yellow.

That being said Tranmere were good tonight, very good.

As for those Tranmere knuckle draggers at the end, the less said the better!
From the South Stand it looked like last man clattering him, didn't get much of a detailed view.

I'd like to thank the Tranmere fans for staying off the pitch at the final whistle so the Forest Green fans could show their appreciation to the team at the end of a long season, many of whom are unlikely to be with us this season...oh, hang on a second, you didn't.

As I left the ground I heard a number of our fans talking about one of our players being assaulted by opposition fans before they could get off the pitch, on our forum it sounds like it might have been McGinley, the same one who was spat at in the league game.

I used to quite like Tranmere, but tonight has made continuing that very hard, I look forward to playing you again next season.

I always think fans should stay off the pitch at opposition grounds. I have not changed my mind because some of ours did it tonight, although I would guess the recent 'needle' between the two clubs fuelled it to an extent.

I did not think it was a poor game. FGR did not really turn up in either fixture, but we were excellent in every area of the pitch tonight and played some good football.

Please don't let the conduct of one or two people tar your opinion of the majority, just as we don't think you're all bad because one or two of yours went out of their way to damage our stadium. Most clubs have their idiots, neither of us are an exception, and the majority of us would get on just fine.

You've got under our skin a few times in the last few years, don't act surprised that we enjoyed the moment.

Not condoning what happened between McGinley and the fan though, needless bit of handbags. Only one fan though, a few of us jumped in to separate them. All clubs have idiots sadly, see also the vegan seat smashers, the rest of us pitch invaded with decorum and class...

Met one of the officials on the way home, after slipping him the agreed £5k pay check I told him he did a good job.

Bloke said Tranmere are by far the hardest working team he’s seen in league two, which is clearly our greatest strength.

Congratulation Tranmere.
Better team over the two games and I wish you success at Wembley.
Look forward to renewing rivalry at end of next season when FGR will also be promoted.
Fair play bud, we've had our disagreements but what is football without emotion and a bit of irrationality? All the best.

Fair to say FGR didn't get the rub of the green over the two legs. Difficult to judge both sides too much given the numerical disadvantage FGR had for so long.

Just surprised by FGR's lack of urgency in the final 10/15 minutes of the game and still pissing about passing the ball slowly and sideways.

Newport have looked the best side in the PO's IMO.

Get the fuck off our pitch you ugly pricks!!!

AWWWW didums. Did the nasty men run on the pitch? State of that pitch it probably did it some good. Of course, our seat smashing, one song, six fingered friends won`t have gone of the pitch at the end if they were going to Wembley. Oh hang on.. didn`t they do just that when they beat Dagenham 2 years ago.

Oh and talking about singing . Didn`t hear you out sing the SWA last night. In fact I didn`t hear the "ultras" once. Maybe they weren`t allowed out on a school night.

Wonder if they smashed any seats when they scored? Standard method of celebration, like when you celebrate losing 1-0

Wouldn't have assaulted any of your players though.

FGR had eleven men for seventy minutes of the game last night and were not really good enough, particularly given they had the initiative from the early goal. I think we deserved it irrespective of the ref.

We're far better away so being down to 10 for 75 mins made a big difference to the whole tie. We also had to work very hard to stay in it up there and then had to play again 3 days later. We looked jaded.

We would have had a right go last 20 last night I think, we score quite a lot of late goals. Being down to 10 again stopped any hope of us doing that.

Yes, but the red in the first game was the correct decision, so only yourselves to blame for that one.

:ffs:

This is what 'a few cracked seats' looks like. You're defending the indefensible, you clearly have an element of dickheads and are in complete denial about it. Pompey, Millwall, Leeds etc have visited plenty of times and never did this.

I was told by some of the guys standing nearby that during game somebody stood on the chair and it collapsed.
More a case of stupidity rather than maliciousness.

Got nothing against FGR myself, I think it’s a terrific club to visit as an away fan and makes a refreshing change by football league standards to have pleasant opposition fans who don’t have faces like slapped arses when they get beat.
Not a fan of Cooper though, his post match comments were poor. The man needs to go and have a good hard look at himself in the mirror!
