Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
He supposedly signed a contract in summer then 2 weeks later left for BPA. Believe that move was a main instigator as to why the fallout from club and Flanagan.

Superb player with Curzon but Flanagan got best out of him, seems to struggle elsewhere

McKenna seems to have become a journeyman winger despite having some obvious talent. File alongside Adam Dawson and James Caton.

We've had both those players here and they seemed to do better against us. Bradley Jackson was my mom last Saturday, but both Mooney and Mahon need a rest so maybe that's Bern and Jonno's thinking.

We've managed to get rid of James Caton by mutual consent, I'm pretty glad he's gone must have been costing us a fortune with a 2-year-contract from our previous manager Gray.

He had numerous chances at the club with few and far between flashes of skill, but he was mostly abysmal just didn't look interested at all. I think he only scored the one goal.

Only remember Caton appearing for us once off the bench away at Grimsby, scored as well, looped a cross in to the box which somehow found it's way in to the net.

Just on another note, Bradley Jackson looks class so far.

My vivid memories of Caton is a goal in the summer without his gloves on against Alfreton.
And coming on in the second half against Leamington with his gloves on and showing us what he can do when he can be bothered.

I was there when Caton scored that goal. Iirc we were losing 3-0 when he scored.

Did everything but score. Probably had more chances in that game than the last five or six combined.

Beat ourselves.

Top display today from a Chorley side that were better in every department. 3 outstanding goals and but for an excellent display by Guiseley keeper it would have been 6or 7. Got to keep it up now.

17 year old keeper aside we were absolute garbage today. Little effort to close down, couldn't pass to a team mate, no shots, no organisation. A complete shambles!

There's no doubting Chorley are a good team and really should get themselves promoted this season, they won't have an easier game this season than today though.

Alfreton Town is rapidly turn in to a joke.

Chairman confirms he is considering his position in the programme notes.

A stubborn twat of a manager with no plan b whose relationship with the players looks broken.

3 wins in 20 league games.

No shots on target whatsoever today. Danny Lewis in the Brackley net may have frostbite.

Best thing that happened for us today was Ashton surpising turning over FC United.

Concerning times. More verbal abuse at our chairman at full time too.

Expected battle with a typical competitive Liam Watson team, even first half, Alty upped the tempo and took control second half despite I think 6 yellows and a red for Southport, but the ref was bobbins as usual. Southport will make the playoffs IMO like we should. Blip over.

Another very comfortable win. Seven wins in a row and only one conceded (today).

The way Chorley are going at the moment we have a massive job on our hands to overhaul them. But if we can keep in touching distance of them, given our comparatively easier run in, plus a chance to take three points of them in the third last game of the season, we'll give ourselves a massive chance. Based on our current form, and the fact we've already comfortably beaten Chorley twice this season (albeit once in the Trophy), I reckon we're currently the best team in the league. Alas, we may end up paying for our mediocre start.

When we played Chorley off the park at theirs' in November I thought we were genuine title contenders, but the the way we are playing at the moment I doubt we will even make the play-offs.

Darlington 1 Spennymoor Town 2

I suppose it was gonna happen at some point in time. Oh well, wasn't to be but life goes on and we can still pick up points in the coming weeks. I couldn't really say Spenny deserve to beat us we deservedly went in at half-time 1:0 to the good. They had the slight edge in the second half with a couple of wonder goals, other than that they created very little.

Shocking decisions as per usual, cheating diving Spenny player's conning the referee. Disgraceful refereeing on the day.

I thought we were pretty solid in defense with Ainge playing as he did down at Alfreton. Thommo had a brilliant game along with Wheatley. I'm beginning to think or should i say I'm leaning towards a new keeper in the summer? I thought we definitely deserved something from this game.

Great support from the fan's towards Liam Hughes after 5 minutes with holding up the leaflet distribution of #ItsOkayToNotBeOkay# for mental health. Fantastic work!!

Well done Andy & Tim with the collection

What a game at Telford. We go 1 up in 3 minutes through our loaner Nick Clayton-Phillips, he definitely looks too good for us. At 10 minutes disaster strikes as Brandon Hall is forced off after a coming together with Udoh so we send in our academy keeper Tom Palmer. Then through sheer grit, determination and a bit of luck we somehow come away with all 3 points.

Academy players Tom Palmer and Harry Higginson and loaner Nick Clayton-Phillips deserve most of the praise. Played far better than their ages would suggest.

Ironside was another stand out performer. How we missed him for 2 months. Need to get Chambers firing again and start grinding our wins to force ourselves back into the playoffs. Luckily we're playing a poor Alfreton team it seems.

Fine margins, if we have Dudley and Asante up top then we win, handsomely as well. Instead we have a 17-year-old up front by himself.

Wasn’t a particularly well executed game plan by Curzon or anything like that, we were just insanely wasteful and the decision making in the final third was poor. Watched their manager’s post-match interview and he brazenly admits that they just rode their luck.

Fairly comfortable 3-1 win over York, first half County were very much in charge, second half never really felt like we got up to gear, but at least when York pulled one back we went and scored straight from the resulting kick-off, thanks to a brilliant run from Stephenson. FWIW I thought York looked like they have something about them but just not properly organised, now was probably a good time to face them.

Another hat-trick for Warburton, it's a shame he looked so out of sorts in August otherwise he'd be top scorer by now. Was a bit worried when I heard Turnbull was out of the side as a precaution, Walker slotted back into the side perfectly though. Stephenson's continuing his renaissance, he did that last season too but petered out towards the end, hope he doesn't regress again. Finally I just want to say that I bloody love watching teams that press from the front, the fact it's County makes it even better

3 vital wins for Curzon over the past 2 weeks, its opened out the relegation battle.

Nuneaton and Ashton look gone, but FCUM could hit a good run some point throwing a few sides into it all.

The amazing thing is Curzon can easily yet go down but have a superb away form, maybe 2nd-3rd best in the division.................just been so shocking at home.

BPA looking out of gas so maybe between Chorley/Stockport for title

Alfreton are in freefall at the moment. A prime candiade to " do a Tamworth". Fortunately there is only one spot to fill at Ashton/Nuneaton are gone. Think Hereford will keep there head above water but seems Guiseley are struggling.

Some big games coming up.

The fixtures are certainly for us to stop up but can our disjointed team pick up the results. Have to say at the moment not sure.

We're in the same boat as Chester, struggling with injuries to key players whilst operating with a small squad.
We rarely 'fail to turn up' in games, most end up low scoring affairs mostly draws and the wins/losses are by a single goal.
Tough start to the year too with Bradford twice, Altrincham, Leamington, Chester and Chorley.

Overall about what we expected at the start of the season after beginning again almost from scratch with a new squad.
I still expect us to finish around mid table.

The trouble these day's the fan's can only take so much before they want the manager's head on a spike, and lets be honest they pay good money to watch a game, so in a sense they are entitled to express one's anger? Obviously the chairman who will bear the brunt for appointing Billy Heath.

And our away support is probably around 20?
On the other hand average Brackley home attendance now over 500 - up from 200ish 10 years ago, and the likes of Harrogate and Solihull show how attendances can grow...
However we're a much smaller town so how many supporters will ever be possible with a 13,000 population, even after FA Trophy and FA Cup runs?

Come back to me when you have actually seen us play. I am fortunate as a volunteer at the club but I would have serious second thoughts about paying £14 to watch our current rabble so I commend each and every one of them.
Looks like Big Billy has really lost his mojo, Alfreton were my tip for the top this season.
