Dele Alli needs to tone down his temper man ffs, he's the first one to start every time there's trouble. He's the football equivalent of Ben Stokes.

Lucky to escape with a point, not much quality on show at all in that game, pretty turgid stuff. A point and still top though, thankfully there doesn't look like there will be anyone troubling us for it.

Remember the 3-2 win there just over a year ago and how much better a game and performance that was?

Southgate looks well out of his depth, a new manager should be searched for immediately and in before the Scotland game.

Odd that our best CB was left on the bench. Thankfully Joe Hart was on form.

Sturridge can be a very frustrating player.

4 points from our 2 toughest away games in the group isn't a bad return.

Joe Hart "We dominated the game."

Was he watching the same match as me?

Not Sturridge fault our midfield can't transition for defend to attack as a cohesive unit. He was isolated.

Not really, Alli Lingard and Walcott were never too far away from him, his link up play was shit and he was too selfish.

Wilshere was playing.

Exactly and alot of England fans seem to think he's not good enough, way better than Henderson and also Barkley should be in there aswel at least in the squad.

Never too far away but with what positioning? Pointless making pointless runs/pulling back aimlessly.

Just can't believe how poor we were tonight, no disrespect but we gave Slovenia too much respect. Atleast under Hodgson we went from defence to attack in numbers and freedom to roam, with a bit of fluidity, under Southgate it's more conservative and players sticking to position, even on the counter, no urgency at all. Dire. Poor.

Let's cut the shit, he could score a hattrick and you'd still bitch about him.
You must be mistaking me with somebody else, I'm generally very generous to Sturridge and defended him on here when others suggested he shouldn't go to the Euros.

He was part of the problem tonight, when he had the ball he was very ineffective with it and was too selfish.

Any striker would have been, and that's my point. It isn't said striker, it's the set up, completely wrong. Apart from the defence, you can't really point fingers at any players tonight, because they're were either under instruction (midfield), or frustrated/isolated (attackers)

Sturridge was probably frustrated, it happens. You seriously can't come out and berate Sturridge after that performance, it's unfair. It's like replacing the exhaust because the engine is fucked.

Hopefully Sterling, Kane and Lallana are back for the Scotland game because the front 3 tonight were a disgrace.

Team for Scotland game if everybody available

Hart
Walker, Smalling, Stones, Shaw
Dier, Wilshire
Sterling, Dele, Lallana
Kane

So the set-up made him be selfish? He shot too many times when he would've been better off passing it to a team mate. He played for himself and not the team.
