We don't enter until the Preliminary Round this year, and will be away to either our league rivals Biggleswade FC (who we're playing in the league on Bank Holiday Monday, two days after the Preliminary Round) or Mildenhall Town, depending on who comes out on top in that tie this weekend.

So, for the Extra Preliminary Round this weekend, I'll either be at Desborough Town or Holbeach United, while keeping an eye on goings-on in Biggleswade.

Watching Punjab United v Broadbridge Heath on the BBC stream. Turns out Punjab have a player with the exact same name as me, so I’m backing them. Punjab play about ten minutes away from my sisters too, so I may have to go over there one day.

Biggleswade won 4-1 on Saturday, so that's where Yaxley will be headed next round (and just two days before hosting them in a league match too).

The game I went to finished 2-0 to Holbeach United in what was ultimately a pretty boring and one-sided tie.

Lost 4-0 today against league rivals Biggleswade in an embarrassing performance. Gave away two penalties, had a man sent off (in his first appearance, no less) and offered absolutely nothing. Doesn't help of course when several first team players decide to go on holiday on FA Cup weekend every season.

Looking forward to the draw. Fancy us for a cup run this year. Would like to avoid National North opposition.

Plenty of local sides in the hat, Belper,Buxton,Matlock.

We were fortunate with the draw last season so I am expecting a tough tie, we shall see.

Home draws for the 3 Derbyshire sides. Good work
Worst possible draw for us for us. Couldnt have picked out a tougher tie if I had tried. Plenty of baggage too with Amari being racially abused there only last Tuesday.

2nd in 4 seasons we have drawn top of the league at home too (We beat AFC Fylde 1-0 in 2016/17) ( We then went on to beat Kings Lynn 2-0 in the next round that year

Praying there isnt a replay.

Didnt even spot Alfreton in there, thought they were in at the next round for some reason. Only caught Belper, Matlock and Buxton

Fucking hell- that is big boy shit.

I like many County fans I imagine, have no idea how this level works really. I know the FL dates inside out and knew roughly when the NLN stuff began (basically as soon as the season started it seemed)

We just bypassed this place like a falling pebble.

Hoping Nantwich get through but Telford away is a very tricky tie. The Northwich sides don't have bad ties though.

FA Cup day.

Home to divisional rivals Kings Lynn today.

Surprised there is no segregation in place after the trouble at the league game a few weeks ago.

Its going to be tough but we cant afford to lose and miss out on vital prize money. Fortunately we have been very strong at home in the league and hopefully we can transfer this to the cup.

COME ON YOU REDS!

After an early scare, we comfortably spanked Scarborough 5-2. A hat-trick for Jack Sampson, and 3 of our goals came from long throw-ins - about time it worked for us! Also a debut goal for George Newell, which made me feel old as I saw his dad score on his Everton debut 30 years ago in the first ever match I went to!

Alfreton 1-1 Kings Lynn.

Fuck sake.

The one result I didnt want.

Lynn were the better side for the opening twenty minutes as we struggled to get going. However as the game wore on we improved and was the better side in the second half. Lynn deservedly took the lead after 17 minutes through Adam Marriott. Amari Morgan went close with a header before David Lynch scored a rare goal with a pearler from outside the area.

We made the majority of the running in the second and was awarded a penalty after Danny Clarke was upended by the keeper after a strong run on 61 minutes. Amari stepped up but after a long delay which didnt help blazed it over the bar.

Kings Lynn did strike a post late on but its a third meeting of the season and we are not even at the end of September!

And I cant make the replay due to work.

77 games today, I've flagged a few upsets:

Bradford PA 2-4 Morpeth
Telford 0-3 Nantwich
Beaconsfield 1-0 Hemel
Corinthian-Casuals 2-0 Chelmsford
Margate 3-1 Concord
Tooting & Mitcham 1-0 Dorking
Hadley 1-0 Ramsgate
Biggleswade Town 1-2 Ware
Enfield Town 2-0 Braintree
Tiverton 2-4 Bristol Manor Farm
Tavistock 4-0 Highworth

Hadley and Tavistock the only step 9 teams through, plus the winner of the Walthamstow v Abbey Rangers replay.
