Look, whether it’s lincoln or donny doesn’t matter, there remains the fact that two teams in the shit financially are being treated differently. One might have a way out, the other looks doomed.

It’s an unfair advantage for the teams who have played Bolton so far, whether they choose to cancel their games or not.

It needs sorting out.

Edit: and I’d give Bolton a season long transfer embargo.

Their season will then last around 51 weeks as the poor dears can't do 2 games in a week. Unless of course they win a couple, in which case I'm sure they will happily let them postpone their chores instead.
As for the comment by someone about "how can you be tired after 4 games?". How can they be? I had far more energy at 20 than at 30! Welfare of the players? Bollocks. It stinks to high heaven.

I’m still unsure how we have an advantage it’s only four games in how the fuck can they be tired?
Regardless of the amount of games played. there's clearly an advantage between playing Saturday-Saturday and Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday.

It probably isn't as big as Cowley is suggesting (he loves an underdog tag) but a free week is obviously better than not.

How nice, but I've also seen it slated by L1 & L2 supporters in a facebook group as well as 1 or 2 on one of our forums. People have judged it like that.

Sure there are 2 sides to viewing it, but anyone who thinks a team playing on a Tuesday compared to a Saturday is a 'huge advantage' really needs to look at their squad fitness. Every single team apart from Bury, Bolton & the teams they were supposed to play also played 5 games in half a month, yet he's reacting like Doncaster have been given a free pass & are enjoying their time on holiday while Lincoln have to struggle to get by.

I can’t see that he’s said anything wrong, just used Lincoln as an example (and why shouldn’t he). Like Luke says above anyone playing Bolton are being effectively handed three points and a boost to their goal difference, how is that fair to the rest of the teams once they come out of admin and no doubt sign a whole new team?

Bolton, the same as Bury, shouldn’t have been allowed to play any games until the mess is sorted.
Can't argue with your last sentence, but the paragraph before is wrong IMO. Firstly Coventry drew 0-0 with Bolton. But also, what does he want? First he moans that Donny have a huge advantage (its been a long season clearly), then says he feels sorry for them because they probably would have beaten Bolton which would have in your words "handed three points and a boost to their goal difference"

Should we remove the January transfer window? Because if a club gets bought out mid season and has a huge increase in budgets, it's then not fair on the other teams.

I think my biggest problem with what he's saying is how Lincoln are at a 'huge disadvantage'. That is complete bollocks.
As I've said, if people have judged it like that, then they've judged it incorrectly because the full interview isn't like that.

The January transfer window is a silly comment and has nothing to do with it. We're talking about Bolton potentially going from one extreme to the other i.e. kids to proper players, mid-season and out of a proper transfer window (unattached players can sign outside the window up until end of November IIRC).

If you're beef is actually purely the 'huge disadvantage' comment and not all the other stuff, which was all correct in any event, then fair enough and I'd agree to a point. A 'huge' advantage? Probably not. An advantage? Yes.

EFL have said that Bolton have given assurances on finances, Bury haven't. They could go our of business today. Bolton won't. It was sh*tty of Bolton to cancel their game, no doubt. But I dislike the fact that he's making out Lincoln as the only victim here, like they're the only club suffering.

Honestly, who cares whether you play Bolton now or later? It's one game. As I said, we might as well ban the January transfer window then. Any teams who are in form can't play as they'll be too good.

And plumbob, Bolton's cancellation was unacceptable and mist likely they'll have a points deduction. Bury won't be playing a 51 week season, there is more than enough time to make it up. If they do make them up, I wonder if their manager will moan saying how other teams are at a huge advantage and how its not fair?

Anyway, I did read that apparently Bury could be taken over just in time today. Fingers crossed Bury fans!

He's not! You're concentrating on one small piece of an 8 minute or so interview. He made a case for L1 full stop, as Barton has done (who also used Lincoln/Doncaster as an example).

At this stage of the season with new players needing game time to gel I would counter that it is as much of a disadvantage but it’s pointless going around in circles it’s happened and both teams can sort it out tomorrow, for what it’s worth I don’t see a win for us given our still lack of a striker and creative midfielder. It will be nice to see 3 ex Rovers back.

Gassy, do you think Junior Agogo's death will temper the atmosphere somewhat with Matty Taylor returning tomorrow?

RIP - Junior Agogo.

Gassy have you listened to the whole interview, it's a very good interview and gained a lot of praise from both Bolton and Bury fans that I've seen on twitter.
If you have and that's your take on it fair enough, as Danny certainly can be a moaner.
He has a real go a the league and the best comment for me is when he calls Dale 'the asset stripper', brilliant comment!

Really devastating news this. Junior was one of my favourite strikers as a kid. Yesterday I was really down all afternoon hearing this. I still am a bit when talking about it.

I'd imagine it will dampen it before kick off, but usually after a minutes applause the crowd fires up even louder.

I saw an interview with him struggling with his speech which was really devastating. I read that he was really disappointed in all his ex-clubs & colleagues/players since his stroke and the lack of contact. I hope at least this will highlight an importance of player mental health & keeping them in the community after retirement.

I couldn't find it mate, I searched but could only find a 3 minute pre match interview on your website. I searched on BBC someone said it was also on there but it was just the same quotes.

Could you send it over please?

We're playing Blackpool, who I tipped to do well and who are currently top of the league.

6-0 to Dale, with Luke Matheson becoming the first person to get their GCSE results and a hat trick within 72 hours. 2444 visiting fans are a tad annoyed.

Should be a cricket score but it'll probably end up in a 1-0 home win! First away game I've missed In 2019

Comfortable win for Fleetwood today, Madden just keeps scoring and good to see Evans get some time on the pitch, his penalty taking is spot on, perhaps he should show Pogba/Rashford, poor dears
Some enjoyable entertainment in the second half with the 2 scousers aka Coleman and Barton swearing like the proverbial troopers at each other. All in all a good day at the office for the Cods

Can this season end already?

Nooo, you have to suffer things like this to appreciate the good times. I'm pleased my kids are having to suffer this, the euphoria that will pour out of them next time we win the Division 4 playoff final will be immense.
Feel we have not even hit a nadir with Bond yet though, I'm waiting for someone to give us a proper reaming. Now he has realised starting Humphrys might be a good idea I'm hoping to see a scoreline like 7-2 or 8-3.
Dunno how good Rochdale are going forward maybe they could oblige next Saturday.

I reckon he has the week before he is finally put out of his misery, it's a case of when not if now as he's lost the majority of fans.

Have to admit, I saw Southend were winning by a goal or 2 quite late on in the game and I thought, good that will keep the Southend fans quiet for a day or two.

Then I saw the post ‘hahahahahahaha’ and thought they were laughing that they finally won.

It was about an hour later when I actually saw the result.

F*ck me, sorry Southend fans - that truly is bollocks

Can you please go behind earlier next time. I cashed out my 5-fold acca at 2-3 about 2 minutes before the unthinkable!
But, I do hope things turn around for you. After all Steve Tilson gave us all so many happy memories.

Karl Robinson strikes again :lol::lol::lol:

He blames the L1 award winning pitch of the season for Taylor’s injury - when he pulled a muscle during Oxfords goalkick  And the Fosu dive was one even Neymar would be embarrassed by

Look at the state of that pitch
