Would the aforementioned server migration not fix the issues?

Unfortunately not quite that simple, because if we migrate the site as is to a new server, we probably just migrate the problem. I say probably because we're still working things through. As per the accessing troubles thread, we're working on options but they aren't nice options. If we go to the trouble of building a new server, we're damn well going to make sure we migrate a nice fully stable working site, but that may mean 'going back in time' to when the site was behaving.

They seem to have stopped for me currently. Normally it's the first time I access the forum in a usage that I get the pop up and then they don't happen again unless I go to a different site. That hasn't happened just now though, no pop-up yet this 'session'...and I did just as I hit post

It's going to be staying like this unfortunately, until we can solve the problem is, which currently has no time scale on it, as there simply isn't one to give.

I've been opening threads in new tabs and that seems to work without getting redirected.

90% of the time there's an error loading the site, first time in a couple days I've been able to log on.

I get one on the first entry into a subforum, after that I don't seem to have issues. I know that could change however the way things have been going though.

Had them on my phone this morning and just been redirected to some weird site telling me my computer is at risk blah blah blah. Only way I could escape it was to shut Chrome down using task manager

Not had any issues at all myself, on any browser but have seen a few people report it. I've sent a new ticket to the new firewall group we are using so they will probably be on scene at some point today.

I did and spoke to a very helpful gentleman. He has taken all of my personal details including bank account details, bank card details and my pin number and said he will be calling me back with a solution soon

I'm getting the same think as MJA, as well as a few other scam viruses. The ads have been a disaster from the beginning.

People need to understand, these ARENT ADs, they aren't submitted by anyone, or anything to do with 1FF or it's ad provider. These are maliciou popups ADDED to the 1FF server. Not everyday adverts. To clear that up.

Adverts have been running on this website since May of 2015, we've only had an issue in the last month or so, the only possible connection is that Adverts might make the website a small percentage more vulernable to issues with that.

Yeah, possibly. That was what we think happened the other week. We were using an outdated version of the forum software (Xenforo) and we think someone possibly 'placed' some malicious code into the forum which affected the server and gave us the pop-up issue.

Keep getting a pop up trying to enter me into an Amazon competition to win a phone or something. Literally every time I navigate from page to page.
