We believe the issue has now been resolved. Any addon functionality may be temporarily missing until we upgrade to the latest versions- but standard site functionality should be working.
when I logged in yesterday anytime I tried to click on a thread a box appeared asking 'do you wish to remain on this site' with click options 'leave' or 'stay'. I clicked on both to no avail as when I tried to log out the box would appear again. Hope I haven't left myself open to viruses or owt like that by doing so. Had to just click on the cross at top right of page to get out. This morning the site had gone awol.

There appears to be another issue with pop-ups again. Each time I navigate to the home screen, I get directed to the app store for the AliExpress shopping app.

On Android, using Chrome.

Irritatingly it appears the sports digital network we utilise is having a few security issues- we've removed everything for now.

Just querying whether I should be seeing them? I know there's a link-up with betting companies but I though as a site-supporter I wouldn't get them.

Should all be gone, no usergroup should say any for the next few hours as we're trying to fix a site vulnerability.

Cheers,
TB

Should I be getting a full screen mobile ad pop-up?

Adblock is your friend.

Indeed. But you need to be rooted for it to work on your Android device, which I am fortunately. For those that aren't you can use use Netguard, which is completely free and allows/disallows traffic according to an imported host file, so basically on the same basis as Adblock but without the system host file being edited (which is the bit that requires root). The only downside with Netguard is that it works via VPN so you have the service running constantly in the background, which can result in a small battery hit.

Seems the edit didn't take effect, I've just reissued the permissions.

I normally view the forum on my phone but reading on a PC right now and it's painfully slow to work with the new advert.

On desktop, based on your post count you should only have a header ad, footer ad, and perhaps two down the side on some pages. This has been the case for quite some time and is a requirement to keep the site from running at a loss.

We're currently on a large VPS but perhaps the site would now be better suited to a dedicated server which should help page loads... this coupled with us trialling new advertisers with hopefully faster ad servers should bring improvements, soon.

Cheers,
TB

I have an ad showing between Tech & gaming & the entertainment forums but none at the bottom. Preferred it with one at the bottom instead of middle of the page.

On my Android phone using Chrome nearly every time I click a link to navigate through the forum some blank page comes up followed by the Uber page on the Google Play Store. Not sure if this is intentional or not, but it pretty much renders the forum unusable on my phone.
