Ironic that the only team to hold the Saints to less than 20 points inside regulation were the Browns. Looks like some new faces in the play offs barring an crazy collapse. The Texans and Chargers are looking like good bets for the AFC South and AFC Wildcard slots respectively.

Wonder if we'll see an 8-8 team make that last wildcard spot. Could happen given how average a lot of the AFC is.

The Bears also took control of the NFC North and it's hard to see the Vikings or Packers catching them given how inconsistent those 2 are at the moment.

Glad most of the byes are finished and we'll have a full slate of games.

Ahem, think you'll find the Texans are in with a shout for more than just a wildcard spot. With three divisional games at home and a pretty favourable schedule to come we are in with a shot of having a bye to the divisional round. :cool1:

You're right though, realistically it'll be wildcard.

I didn't word it great. I meant they are looking good for the AFC South spot, as in, they are probably going to win the division.

It's been a pretty crazy turnaround as well, given they were 0-3 and O'Brien was looking like he was on the hot seat. Like you say as well, the schedule looks favourable. The Titans could be without Mariota, but the Colts are looking better and better. That'll be a very difficult game. But apart from that, it's 4 teams who are either already out of the play off race, or will be when they face the Texans. No reason they can't finish 10-6/11-5 as a minimum.

Just not sure they have what it takes to hang with the big boys though, some of the stuff Watson was doing yesterday didn't make for great viewing.

We might even make the play offs at this rate, laughable.

That game last night was one of the craziest ones have ever witnessed. Really bad time to be a defensive coach in the NFL with offenses like these and the Saints.

Just as well the 2019 draft is defence heavy, lots of teams look like they need serious help.

Yep though I’m not convinced it’s currently a talent issue. The rules are now so in favour of the offense it’s almost turned the game into glorified flag Football. Compare it to say over 10 years ago it’s virtually a different game. Couple that with almost every team that hires a coach now is bringing in an offensive minded coach running all these RPO’s it’s almost impossible for the Defenses now.

It’s really just a matter of time for when scoring 40 in a game is just about considered par. Not saying I want to return to teams just running between the tackles for 3 yards on every down but some balance would be nice.

I wouldn't mind the Falcons losing all their remaining games for a better draft pick now tbh, need some serious defence players

2019 is definately the draft to get the D line sorted probably one of the best drafts in years in that respect personally I would Place Ed Oliver from Houston as my top pick

I agree.

As it stands, we would face the Chargers where I would fancy the Texans, I also wouldn’t fear the Pats at NRG but after that I would give us little hope.

Yeah, Watson still has these little mistakes in him but after only playing 15 pro games and coming back from a serious injury, he’s been brilliant for the most part and will only get better as he learns (and gets a decent O line in front of him).

Follow the Cougars loosely and Oliver is immense. Speaking to a couple of people I know from Houston and they fully expect him to be a top 5 pick.

Please can someone make this half time show stop right now? Jesus Christ this is bad.

Not that bad a game. Love watching the Bears Defense go to work.

Chase Daniel is going to get himself seriously hurt if he keeps on playing like this. Really needs to remember to slide rather than go for an extra couple of yards.

Beautiful throw to Cohen though.

I usually watch Red Zone on a Sunday, so first time I’ve properly seen Rob Ryan on Sky Sports. He’s unsurprisingly good.

Woke up to the news that Bob McNair has passed.

Very sad day for the Texans, brought professional football back to the city and did a lot for the community.

RIP, sir.

Got to hand it to Josh Allen he can come up with some serious highlight reel plays. Don’t think he will have a long career playing like this but will be fun to watch.

For three quarters that was dismal from the Pats but bottom line we move to 8-3 so will take it.

I thought Allen was pretty good against a legit Defence he showed flashes again especially the TD to Foster I really love his arm talent Bills should be interesting in free agency and draft if they can get some good weapons for Allen.

Broncos shouldn't have pressured on that FG, not that I'm complaining.

That was a horrible read there from Roethlisberger. Always a tough place to win though Denver. AFC wildcard race is very interestingly poised now.

He'll get work very quickly. He's young and an exceptionally talented player. With a sincere apology, he'll be picked up and back playing.

Does make me laugh though as all those who take the moral high ground when incidents like this and Rueben Foster emerge. The Chiefs can hardly emerge with that much credit given they still have Tyreek Hill on their roster.

So many teams have nasty players on their books, be that from on or off the field behaviour. The NFL genuinely seems to have the least likeable set of individuals in professional sports. You really do have to sell your soul and morals if you want to legitimately support a team in this league.

Maybe because it happened two years before he was even a Chiefs player. He was dropped by Oklahoma State at the time and had already been punished in accordance with the law when we drafted him. It's also worth noting that he was far from a popular draft pick with the fanbase. I'm sure he'd have been treated the same as Hunt had it happened while he was on the roster.

You really do have to sell your soul and morals if you want to legitimately support a team in this league.

This is a ridiculous comment and all the more hilarious when coming from a Crewe fan. If we're gonna start having a pop at a sport clubs fans for the actions of an individual or two connected professionally with their club I mean.
