Same old story. We get ourselves to the brink of challenging and fuck it up.

If Barrow had a player sent off in every game they would have the league won by now!

2 away games at play off rivals - 3 men sent off and still get 4 points :)

Terrible result for Macc, they have no excuse after the dismissal really.

Will be between Barrow and Aldershot for fifth.

Good win for Barrow.

See Connor Jennings played the full game, how did he do?

Not the worst game at Macc, but home team shading it. Our players seem a bit unused to the formation, with about 4 players coming in to new roles.
In the end it probably would have been 0-0 if it wasn't for the penalty. Credit to Barrow for seeing out the game with 10 men but we only have ourselves to blame for failing to make the extra player count. We went long far too often and the Barrow defenders were happy to deal with it time after time. It's very frustrating because when we were playing to our strengths, we were well on top and should have scored a couple of times.

Was he playing?

Macclesfield were the better team, but it was just a typical game of two evenly matched sides - one playing like a home team, and the other defending like an away team.
We were just coming good when we went down to 10, but it didn't change a lot for us, because Wright was playing a kind of luxury role behind the strikers. Stupid sending off, first for a bizarre handball and then a needless yellow.

Some of our tackles and blocks towards the end were amazing, but how Macclesfield didn't put away any of about five easy chances, I don't know - everything seemed to stick to our keeper. Each of our players did well, but Livesey was a 9 for me.
As ever, Whittaker bossed it, Holroyd looked a bit flimsy, and Haworth had a bit of a mare, tbh.

So pleased with that win, because I expected at most just one point from those two away games.

Dont write us out of the relegation battle yet, dropping like a stone and there is nothing to make us feel that MA will turn this around. Its going from bad to very bad. and if it continues, we could be Conf South champions next season yet.....

Behave. You've got 42 points already. You'll stutter into mid table like the rest of us no marks.

And it won't be Aldershot.

Correct, when we get our annual thrashing in North Wales on Saturday, and Barrow win their game in hand we'll probably be 8 points off the playoffs and looking ahead to next season. Our only chance was winning last week and we blew it!
