Paddy Power doing a similar offer for the Everton v Arsenal game. Bet £20 pre-match and get £10 in play.

My mate told me about this recently so I signed up a couple of weeks ago. This will be my first opportunity to take advantage of the free bet.

Anyone got any advice on the safest pre-match bet to make?

I usually look at the Man City twitter page 1 hour before the game to see the team sheet. Soon as you do that pick a 1st goalscorer who isn't in the team, failing that a player who is on the bench and unlikely to come on.

Another safe bet is usually over 0.5 goals, and then you can put your free 50 quid on 0-0. Always make profit that way, especially if its 0-0.

I've just taken a look at the T&Cs for the offer and noticed this...

"Where any term of the offer or promotion is breached or there is any evidence of a series of bets placed by a customer or group of customers, which due to a deposit bonus, enhanced payments, free bets, risk free bets or any other promotional offer results in guaranteed customer profits irrespective of the outcome, whether individually or as part of a group, bet365 reserves the right to reclaim the bonus element of such offers and in their absolute discretion either settle bets at the correct odds, void the free and risk free bets or void any bet funded by the deposit bonus."

Am I right in thinking this essentially means you can't cover your original bet with the free in play bet to guarantee a profit? Or is it ok to do so?

You're better off just doing the first goal scorer bet on somebody with no chance of playing then essentially having a free bet. Or laying off the first bet on Smarkets or Betfair

Based on the above advice I've stuck my initial bet on Yaya Toure to score first.

My mates had £50 on the draw and £50 on BTTS to score in both halves.

I've gone the safe route with over 0.5 alternative match goals, still undecided on the in play bet though

If I bet on over 0.5 goals then I prefer to back a draw with the free bet. Still guaranteed a profit but more likely to win the free bet and a chance of winning both.

Put the draw on at bet365 for 3.5, then layed it at betfair for 3.55, will make a £2.50 loss with this. will see how the game goes then do an over 0.5/1.5 goals or something along those lines.

I've seen this offer many times but never really got on it, gonna have a bash tomorrow and see how I go.

£50 on over 0.5 goals pre match returns £53.57
£50 in play on a draw would return around £170 (going by the pre match odds)

Would this fall foul of the t&c's though as it effectively means I can't fail to end with a profit?

Technically, yes, but they don't seem to care. Personally I always cover the 0-0 with another bookie though, just incase they decide to start...

What I do is choose no goalscorer under the 'Goalscorer' market. It's the same price as 0-0 but covers you in case there's an own goal.

I've got to be honest I don't get that, 0-0 & no goalscorer are both 9/1, surely they're the same thing?

What I mean is, if it's 0-1 due to an og and you bet 0-0 correct score, you lose. If you bet no goalscorer, you still win as ogs don't count towards goalscorer bets. It's a small chance but you may as well cover it off

That make sense or am I still clear as mud?

How did anyone do with this offer? Can usually lock-in around £30-£40 guaranteed profit risk-free
