Huge game for both clubs, by all accounts we were back to our early season form on Friday which is very encouraging to hear, as proved if we can replicate that we definitely stand a good chance of winning but Cardiff are in immense form and fully deserve to be where they are in the league as they have been there all season pretty much, they have us then wolves and villa so Fulham will be hoping they still yet have a sniff on 2nd spot. Nights like tommorrow used to generate top atmospheres at bramall lane but unfortunately they don't exist anymore so another quiet night expected.

Blades 1-1 Cardiff (sharp). 25745 (754 taffs).

If this match goes ahead, Derby should be relegated.

Will be fine, only live a couple of mins from the ground and all the snow on my car has already melted.

Donny rovers game has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch, that's more of an issue than snow round the ground. Fucking snow in April what a shit country we live in

I really cannot believe how bad the atmosphere at bramall lane has become , 10 years ago for a game like this it would be rocking, it's fucking silent. Fucking get in

Never would I think I'd say Leon might unintentionally win us the title. All is forgiven come home Leon.

Deserved lead for sure but expect the taffs to come out stronger.

Sheffield United was robbed. Can only hope that has knocked their players' confidence going forward. What more do you have to do to win a game of football (other than convert your chances...)

Sheff Utd battered them. Not sure if a point helps Cardiff much but it will feel like a win for them.

For what its worth if you play like that nobody in the playoffs will want to play you. I think you're better with Clarke and Sharp up front tbh, seems more clinical and that was your downfall tonight.

The problem is that we’ve played well and dominated in many games this season and still not won.
We seem to be a bit unlucky but it’s happening too often so it’s not luck.
We’ve not stole a single match this season but we’ve conceded quite a few last minute goals scored against the run of play. We could easily be 10 points better off.

however our finishing has been pretty poor all season.
We generally need 5 good chances to score a single goal and it’s not good enough.

They always play fairly well when I watch them play but their strike force is pretty average, suppose you get what you pay for. Sharp I quite like, Brooks looks class but isn't prolific, Donaldson's best years are way past him and Clarke went through a Blackman-esque purple patch the other month.

Their owner must regret not giving Wilder £5m or so to buy a proper quality finisher, instead they signed James Wilson.

You couldn't be more correct tbf. The way we play at times is up there with the best in the league, he's got 16 goals but if Leon could finish we would be challenging Cardiff, however I can't fault the man his overall performance is top class, he gives everything, something he's never done in his career

Regards strikers they all offer different things.
This season for Sheff Utd.

Sharp- our best finisher, always tends to get his shots on target, he’s a SU fan and plays like one, always works really hard. However he lacks pace, has no height or physicality and his link up play is average. Tends to always shoot instead of pass. Brilliant at putting away easy chances but not good with difficult chances. Needs the ball played directly to his feet because he’s little pace.

Clark- surprisingly talented and a bit of an enigma. He tends to miss the easy chances but score the difficult chances, can be inconsistent but he does offer some height and physicality and is a great link up player setting up others. Surprisingly he’s worked really hard this year and to be honest he is probably our number 1 striker now. He’s in the twilight of his career and finally putting in regular good or great performances, even when he doesn’t score he still offers something.

Donaldson- Mr Average, a decent allrounder, works hard but a bit limited. He’s generally been sub and all best performances and goals have been away, not done much in home matches.

Brooks- the player with far and away the most potential, at times he looks far too good for the Championship. Hugely talented and confident but like many youngsters his decision making can be poor. He shoots when he should pass and passes when he should shoot but he’s our future. If Brooks clicks he can almost win matches by himself. We’re all worried that a PL will offer 15 million at some point in the next year or so. Think he’s more of a winger though instead of a striker.

Ched Evans- made the odd sub performance but he’s hardly been involved. Still looks half a yard too slow but he’s not had a pre season and been injured most of the year. Think he’s be given a full pre seasons training in the Summer 18 and if he’s still not quite up to speed then I expect he’ll be released.

The normal striker combination has tended to be Sharp and Clarke, individually they’ve been fine but their link up play hasn’t been great.

But from what I’ve seen the best combination is Brooks and Clarke, their styles seem to bring the best out of each other. Only started this combo twice this season, so this might be played in the final matches. Brooks has glandular fever, so has hardly played since Christmas but now looks close to fully fit.

4 times now they've started , them lot, wolves, wall and Cardiff, 3 if our best performances so I fully agree with you that it is the best partnership and I think they will both start at barnsley.

Hope so.
We’ve got some big games coming up. It’s still all to play for.
Bioro, Millwall then Preston NE at home
Barnsley, Brum and Bristol City away.

the irony that 72 points will probably be enough for play-offs this season and our 76 was not enough last season

FUCK OFF!

Can't see six sides all picking up only a maximum of ten pts tbh. At least a couple of sides will pick up an avg of 2 pts per game, which would put them in the play offs and leave them, whoever they are, on 74-76.

Didn't deserve a thing from the game last night, why the point is so important. Could be huge if it goes right to the wire. Massive game on Friday now though, just hope last night was the poor performance out the way and we're back to normal for it.
