I doubt that there will be anyone (other than the blindly loyal Bolton fans) who think this is fair.

They have got away with cheating, and I feel sorry for Macclesfield, Bury and Doncaster, who have all been treated worse.

In addition, Bolton are currently signing players on loan which will assist them in trying to stay up. One player in particular was a target for Dale, but surprise, surprise, Bolton have outbid us on wages.

More galling when Hill had best part of 10 years at Dale during which time he constantly moaned at the clubs that overspent. As soon as he lands at one of them, he changes his tune completely.

Fair? No chance.

I have zero interest in you getting more points deducted or a hefty fine, my complaint has always been that as a club you refused to play our match and did so on social media basically saying we don’t give a shit about the club I support. Then you treat it as if it were postponed which it most definitely wasn’t, now we are impacted in trying to fit this game in an already busy period. The only Club punished is Doncaster Rovers.
If we had been handed the 3 points I doubt the so called punishment you have been given would have caused a stir.
edited this as I was angry. You guys say what you want, It is a forum

Try telling us that. I wish we'd had a soft as shit independent panel to let us off pretty much Scott free. Bet Bury would have appreciated similar leniency from the FL as well. It will really kick off if you stay up and we go down after all this.

Was it the Northern Premier about 10 years ago where a club was chucked out three quarters of the way through the season but the league decided to only partially expunge results. The fall out was crazy end of season with teams who lost points losing a playoff place because of it etc... Teams who went down refused relegation, teams in the playoffs refused to start the games.

If Macc go down but would have stayed up if they hadn't been deducted points then wow - it'll make the Northern Premier farce look like a tea party.

Hoping Southend start cancelling games now, we don't win anyway and are down already, so nothing to lose. I'm sure Doncaster won't mind if we don't come on the Tuesday night in late January.

I totally agree with you that it`s the EFL thats needs to get its act in order. You can`t have one rule for one club, no matter who they are, and another for everybody else. Bolton should have had at least 6 points taken off them for the Doncaster game. End of story. The only thing I don`t agree with is about you having no animosity towards them. I hate the bastards and always will. I have done since I was a kid in 1991 at Wembley and saw things done by their knuckle dragging fans to Tranmere supporters after that Wembley game the likes of which I have seen very little of since I`m delighted to say.
Had loads of rucks with them back in the day, and had a brick hit me as it flew through the coach window at Tranmere.
It was back in the day though.
Now I have lost my club and would hate to see any other fan of any other club suffer the depressing times Bury fans are in now.
Owners and the EFL go to hell.

Bolton should have been given another points deduction for postponing their fixtures, in particular the Brentford one. They'll argue they had a valid excuse for the Doncaster one r.e. the EFL regulations.

The Bury situation was different to the Bolton one, so not particularly comparable IMO.

It'll all kick off if Macclesfield's points deduction remains.

It isn't an EFL regulation it's a Premier League one, there are no rules on the use of youth players in the EFL.
