Which Bournemouth will show up? The side that's given lots of the better clubs a right game this season (Arsenal/Spurs/Liverpool etc) or the side that's capitulated against opposition around and below us, especially more recently, shipping all sorts of daft goals in the process? Man City more so than the other bigger clubs, have always battered us in our time up here to date. If the struggling Bournemouth show up then the score will get messy.

I'll be watching from between my fingers! It's a Monday night too, what a shit time for football. Another weekend without a game. Boo.

So.....turns out 3 of what would be our most obvious and recognisable back 4 haven't trained all week (Daniels, Francis, A.Smith).

We tried something random with a back 3 at Everton and conceded 6 goals, but at least that 3 had Francis starting. No idea what defence we can cobble together without those 3 assuming they're all unfit for Monday.

Welcome to the forum; its a bit bereft of City supporters here, but ignore StevenCC as he's always on the windup for City and Liverpool fans. :D

Don't lie to yourself or to the rest of us, especially on the Sabbath. ;)

Before BlueMatador's arrival (welcome, friend), I hadn't engaged in a dialogue with a Manchester City fan on here for over a year!

Welcome along, you've probably picked a decent first game to comment on for City! I'd guess evening games UK time is quite convenient for you over there?

A Monday at work following by (probably) a battering for Bournemouth afterwards. What a lovely day I've got lined up!

I'd at least like to see us get through the first 20 mins of the game without doing anything too stupid, get ourselves into a contest. Rather than going 2 down after 20 mins rendering the whole thing pointless! If and when City are going to score, let's make them work for it rather than gifting it them. A bit of professional pride and graft is all we can ever ask.

Only the occasional tagging of the man in silk? So now you're newly engaged? Congratulations. :D

Hopefully Bournemouth will get a decent result, at least a draw.
btw: Monday PL matches are shite

I actually had a flicker of confidence about this one, given Bournemouth's recent form and City actually finding some form themselves.

So lump on a home win.

Well all 3 defenders passed late fitness tests and start, although it remains to be seen if that'll actually make us any better!

Incredibly attacking team from City.

Shame to see Jesus off so soon. Hope this Aguero lad is any cop.

Wilshere limping off and subbed; that'll be him out for the rest of the season then... :shifty:

Well, we're in the game.

You can't tell me that if Aguero pops our same 'goal' in for City, that it gets chalked off. No chance.

Wilshere gone off with some niggle, which he honestly hasn't done all season so that's worrying. It'll mean our midfield becomes non existent unfortunately. Two subs down already with Francis, clearly not fit to start, limping off. It's a real tough battle from here now with little to change things now two subs are gone.

Like their left winger (Sane?) Looks a player.

City supporters look very bored. Having all that quality in your side must get quite repetitive tbf...

City look worse than us defensively. They just keep taking needless after needless risk.

Telling that 'officials get a big call right for City' has got everyone questioning the nature of reality!

How do you know City are winning without checking the score?

Well positives to take, City like most of the best sides always let us play and as a result we look decent in patches. Their defence wasn't exactly assured, although we probably didn't work as many chances as I'd like.

On the flip side when City are on the ball they do look class, always 2-3 options to pass to for whoever has possession. Closing them down is like a game of wack a mole.

Desperately need to see our ruled out goal again, I was the other side of the ground but it looked a completely baffling decision for us. We aren't getting much run for us at the mo, which happens when you're in a rut. A lot of generous decisions for City tonight.

Sane as said is a talent. MOTM for City.

Testing times for us, we'll wait on the fitness of Francis and Wilshere. Hopefully neither too bad?

It was a shirt pull. Half time was all about why the ref gave the right decision rather than whether it was right.

Genuinely can't work out who that was aimed at...
