The summers never feel so bad when the World Cup is on, still nice to get back to proper football though.

Tough to know what our team will be, few injuries around that might clear up, I’d go for:

Bentley

Dalsgaard - Konsa - Mepham - Barbet

Woods - Mokotjo

Benrahma - Sawyers - Canos

Watkins
Shame Maupay picked up the injury, as he was looking good, and I always think we look more dangerous with Watkins on the wing.

I’ll go for a reasonably routine 2-0 win, we struggle to create much but get a goal in the second half and another breakaway goal just before the end.

Though our opening day record is terrible, we always seem to do well against Rotherham.

No idea what line up we'll go with as I haven't attended any pre season games to know which of the new signings look good enough to start in the starting line up.

I will guess at something like this.

Rodak
Jones, Raggett, Wood, Mattock
Taylor, Vaulks, Palmer, Newell
Ball
Smith

Think we'll play 4411 to start with away from home especially in a higher division against a good possession team otherwise we'll get totally dominated in midfield.

I'm expecting our game plan we'll be to put bodies behind the ball and try and nick a goal off a set piece which is what we are good at and only really go for it if we're trailing with 20 mins to go.

Prediction is I think we'll lose 2-1 to a late Brentford goal, hope I'm wrong though!

1k ish millers in attendance.

Brentford to smash 'em, 4-1. Really like the look of them this season.

Good performance, especially early in the season. Plenty of gears to go up though. We looked dangerous every time we had the ball, and were very clinical which is a change.

If Woods goes, would be nice to get another body in for DM, but otherwise the squad looks good, and we have much more quality depth than we’ve ever had.

1 game into championship and the hammerings have already started, oh dear this is gonna be another long season.

Brentford looked very impressive by the way but we are way off championship standard until we fetch some quality signings in.

Presumably he didn’t have too much to do looking at the scoreline but how did Konsa play?

Played well. Wasn't tested much. A bit slow with his distribution, but I suppose the nerves of a debut at a higher level tend to rein in a performance somewhat. I imagine he'll be replaced when Julien Jeanvier has a full week of training following his transfer. I think Konsa has probably been brought in to preempt Mepham's future transfer out. Better to have Konsa now at his recent price, and get him up to speed in the Championship, than go in for him in a years' time.

Looked like he’s got a mistake in him, and as Josh said, he was slow in passing, but was strong, and didn’t look like he was a new signing, looked like he was long-established.
