Just had a read of the whole 'Fan's meeting' thread on OTIB and Dolly let slip that there was talk of 'completing the stadium' ie a new stand at the Park end. It would look awesome if they did.

Good honest interview with Ashton and some interesting stuff in there.

Good interview to be fair but wish I had 'experienced' in buzz word bingo, I would have cleaned up!
He can't half talk.

HA HA HA.
Say what you really think Charlie! :gr:

He is what has he really done ?
Paid over the top for flops and wouldn't stfu about how great he was and then they couldn't buy a win and nothing from him.

The bloke is a c***, only got to look at how much he mouthed off when he got here and how little after the crash then his checkered past with other clubs to see he's a c***.

Anyone want a laugh?
From a usually decent source on the City FB pages.(he's not the only one either).
'We have enquired to Chelsea how much it would cost for Tammy permanently. Lansdown willing to smash the bank to bring him here full time. We've not received a response yet, but the Club are willing to pull out all the stops.'
Nice to think we'd want him but more chance of Elvis riding Shergar around the pitch tomorrow!
The reason we 'haven't received a response yet' is because the powers at Chelsea haven't stopped laughing yet!

He seems to be a fairly ambitious lad. If we were to try for him permanently you'd imagine that the deal would include a buyback clause, and he'd cost an absolute shit ton.

Nah, most of the bottom half of the PL would be interested as well.

It's the logical place TBH. They can't go in the Heineken corner or they'll upset the corporates and, if they stand, they won't be in anybodies way in that corner.
The fact they will be right in the middle of the rest of our support is good too IMHO, as long as they are treated exactly the same as the rest of us.
It's where I and others have said they should be from the start. In that corner the atmosphere can spread among the fans in both directions and the "S82" group will grow organically.

He presided over the summer dealings for our title winning season and has played a big part in bringing in the players this summer.
At no point has he mouthed off, he did interviews to explain his role, which is understandable.
How can he be held accountable for the time that people ask to do an interview with him? If no one asks for one then there's little point forcing one unless you have something big to say, no?

You need to factor in the ass holes that follow them, put them in the family area or near the family of players etc and it's going to be carnage.

They struggled dealing with them in the atyeo imagine out in public

This fuck was at the opening of a packet of crisps declaring himself the second coming, how he had all the agents in his Filofax and that he got the DNA just right.

Also I don't buy that he had a lot to do with the title winning season as Cotterill had made it known he had Freeman, Agard and another in the bag by the end of the season.

And he was brought in before the end of that season...

You clearly aren't going to change your mind whatever is said, maybe the way he speaks scares you, I don't know. I'm not a fan of the business speak, but football is a business now and getting someone who knows what he is doing in that regard and can see the big picture with our plans (can you?) is important.

Finally, the fact we have made 3 new signings already in this transfer window is a far bigger indication of him doing his job than the number of interview he does.

You can't seriously say that him signing players is a good sign, how many did he sign in the summer?

Where are they now?

MA wasn't here at the time we gained promotion WTGR. I could have sworn on his 'big interview' today he said he wasn't here for the whole January window last year. He joined half way through the window IIRC.
Just looked it up, 16th January 2016 is when he joined City.

No he was here in 2012 for a while after his dismal/quitting/failed attempt of suing Watford.

Let's see,
Magnusson- our best defender this season.
Lucic- goalkeeper for the future, has still made a couple of appearances.
Taylor Moore- defender for the future, looked decent in his few appearances, on loan to develop with first team football.
Matthews (loan)- our first choice RB, had some injury issues to start, but recently been playing better.
O'Dowda- winger for the future, played a few small parts, was best player against Hull for the first 60 minutes, could do with more game time.
O'Neil- experienced midfielder who has had some injury problems lately.
Brownhill- midfielder (for the future?) played at start of the season then dropped, one of our best players since getting back in the team.
Tomlin- that guy who played a huge part in keeping us up and was signed from a Premier League side
Engvall- striker and very much for the future, though would have epected more game time from him so far.

You want me to continue?

Or if you meant in the summer before promotion there's
Little- won the double with us, still here
Smith- won the double with us, still here
Wilbs- won the double with us, still here
Agard- won the double with us, now in league 1
Ayling- won the double with us, now in playoff spots with Leeds

He wasn't here when we gained promotion, but he was here for the summer before the promotion

This is the article from last season when he joined, it says
"He was heavily involved in establishing the talent identification and recruitment system which was the foundation of player recruitment in spring / early summer 2014."

Wilbs was signed by cotteril in Dubai
Agard was a cotteril signing
Once again, Mark Ashton was "heavily involved in establishing the talent identification and recruitment system which was the foundation of player recruitment in spring / early summer 2014."

Or are you arguing with what the club have said themself?

He just clearly has an agenda, not much point going on about it. Seems to love having an opinion in the minority.
