:thumbs:Not sure about the 20,000 actually turning up be the point is correct.

There's supposedly 20,000 sold for Wolves, how many turn up however....

14K? I can't be arsed and would probably get thrown out anyway. I'd better not get banned as, knowing my luck, the afterbirth will get sacked afterwards.

Who does the maths for that?

You average UNDER 19K .... and of that only 17,500 are home fans.....

Type in on google "Bristol City average attendance" and it comes up 20,089. Will be above 19k come the end of the season with the games we have left.

I just copied the graphic Walkley, I know we aren't averaging 20k.
When you consider our recent averages and how dire we are, 19k is good for us.

How much of the 19000 do you think is the novelty factor of the new ground ? Not suggesting it has a part - but asking the question.

A fair amount, it'd be fair to say. Used to average about 15-16k in our last spell up here from memory, more like 13-14k the year we went down. The worst bit about relegation were it to happen would be losing out on that potential momentum. It would be a real missed opportunity, look at Brighton say, the effect it's had there. Even if we stay up I'd imagine they'd be some drop off, how much remains to be seen.

It's attracted in bigger numbers as Brighton's did, but they'll hold up if we stay up. If we were top end of this division it'd be 20k+ every week which would be fantastic.

Our last stint in the championship we averaged:

16,276
16,816
14,601
14,605
13,846
13,348

Then last season:
15,292 (last season, every game sold out bar two)

Steady decline.

Well when we were top of this league in March 2008 we were getting crowds of 15k...

Lucky result today, Paterson as I've said before should play more, great goal from him.

Mark Little could shoot he be a dangerous player unfortunately he can't and has lost his ability to fire a cross in as well.

What I really enjoyed the most was the sun in the Dolman was lovely

Benefits of our run in, Wolves looked a team that know they're already safe

I knew one of you would dig that up, expected it off JJH
I'll just dig your combined 11 up instead....

Bristol City / Birmingham City

Kuszczak
Spector - Morrison - Shotton - Golbourne
Kieftenbeld - Tesche
Maghoma - Tomlin - Adams
Abraham
Rowett made those players look half decent and you agreed with his sacking mate. Shocking.

Admit now that I made a shocking call with the Rowett sacking. But I still stand by that combined XI, except I'd take out Tesche for Davis and whoever your other left-back is.

To be fair it's not like many more of ours would get in. We're both quite wank

Couple more signings and we'll look alright for top 10. Abraham to come in, and probably Matthews as well. We'll have a good squad with very good good options beyond the first 11.

...Huddersfield, like us, could well go under the radar.
What happened about looking alright for top 10 and going 'under the radar' with Huddersfield? 30 points difference. Shocking.

Everyone else could see it, was getting the most out of a poor squad that he put together on the cheap.

Yep we're both wank, but we both have wank managers, if we had Rowett we'd have been where they were. Should've sacked Johnson and got him in at the time.
