Where did that come from? Well worth the win, let's hope we can push on for this.

Where's that high press been all season?
Ain't that the truth? We looked like a proper football team for the first time in months!
Not convinced at all that Johnson is the man to lead us but I will give credit where it's due.

Well played City.

Well that was a nice surprise. Fully deserved. Had picked up a bit results wise whilst still playing terribly but that was much more like it. Huddersfield were poor it has to be said but we were back to the City from early in the season. Who'd have thought it would be them failing to cope with our pressing? Reminiscent of Fulham away, not a battering the scoreline perhaps suggests but really strong off the ball and sharp and clinical on the break. And not falling apart in the 2nd half was a refreshing novelty.

Everyone was great but Bryan and O'Dowda in particular were outstanding, thought we'd be in trouble down that side but they bossed it. And with the whole side playing higher up the pitch Tomlin was picking it up in better areas, Abraham was less isolated, it all just worked. Need more of the same now for the rest of the season, maybe one or two changes here or there but stick to that basic formula.

Just a shame we now go into the international break, want to get straight into the next one after that. And why do we get the bullshit penalty decision then when we've already won, rather that at 1-1 with a minute to go thanks!

Been comfortable for Bristol City, lovely finishes by Abraham & Flint.

O'Dowda is promising.
He is. Needs to be given a run of more than one or two games at a time.

And Flint is God.

No idea what to think. Smashing the third team makes a mockery of the last 6 months and makes me wonder if they raised their game for Sky.

Great to see ODowda getting better every week.

Yesterday's game was a fuck up start to finish first our best central defender who travelled with the team got a virus before the game so he was sent home then one of our best players suffers a neck injury 8 minutes in (still in hospital) and we got outplayed for the whole of the game...

I agree with my fellow reds comments, particularly about Joe B and O'Dowda (he's gonna be some player) but think Korey deserves a mention as well. He has played at RB before, I appreciate that, but I thought he was excellent there last night, helped well by Dave C (can we afford him in the summer please?).
Overall, a much, much better team performance which will need to repeated consistently to get SOME fans back on side. Let's hope he / they can do it.

Yeah, we looked really good in wide areas mate, defensively and going forward. First time this season I've witnessed that.

O'Dowda is developing into a proper winger, his best game since the opening day last night. I reckon Cotterill would cost us fuck all, if we stay up he'll be here permanently in the summer if Zola's still at Brum.

O'Dowda was great at Newcastle.

So that beggars the question, what on earth was LJ thinking when he played him in central midfield? It's not like we haven't got loads of CM's?
Could Korey be the long term answer at RB? He hasn't done badly at all and with the support of a wily campaigner in Cotts, we look solid on both flanks for a change.
