Johnson out yet lads? Might visit OTIB later to see the meltdown
For me, yes. He cost us the game today IMHO.
I'm sure he will be a decent manager at some point but I think he isn't ready for this level yet.
Very, very naive.

Hurts to lose like that but my day was already ruined, thanks to the braindead Reading fans that saw it fiit to racially abuse my Chinese friend who accompanied me to the game. He is a bit shaken up and never wants to come again now for obvious reasons. Ill be reporting them to Reading FC, and the police, probably wont make any difference but it will make my feel I've done my bit. Such a poxy, plastic set of fans, they really dont deserve the very decent team and club set up that has been built for them.

As for mini-me, definitely time to go. Utterly clueless.

Do you seriously not have better things to do with your life?

I barely have the time to post on our own websites these days, baffles me why people would have so much time to look at other teams!

I have to agree with JJ in that our starting XI and set up was perfect, to be 2-0 up at 70 odd minutes you can't argue against it really, we strangled Reading on the ball and made them play it around at the back. The turning point for me was Reid's introduction, O'Dowda had played poorly imo so no complaints about him coming off, however moving Bryan wide and swapping Freeman back to the right would have been better. However I don't think Reid was playing as a winger, looked like we'd been set up to operate with 4 cm's and force Reading wide, either way it was a strange sub. Wilbraham I agreed with, every time we kicked the ball away it came back just as quickly with Tammy having no support. However think we should have swapped to 532.

I have been in the camp of keeping LJ but today is pushing me towards the edge, LJ's tactics contradicted each other, wanting to sit back and defend while making attacking substitutions. It puzzled me in a game we are trying to see out why not make a defensive substitution? Kelly was on the bench and we could have easily gone to 5 at the back. We went to 5 at the back to protect the lead going into half time but not to protect the result?

As a unit the side just bottled it, it was inevitable from the 70th minute onwards that we would not win that game. I completely understood bringing Wilbraham on to give us an outlet and try and pin them back but it wasn't any use. Every single one of them shat themselves and retreated.

I fucking hate Reading.

When I saw the line up I thought he was a bloke asking to be sacked. LB in CM, RB at CB, unfit Smith, 2nd string Brownhill, Little.

But actually he pulled a tactical masterclass for 60 mins. Having two tacklers in attacking midfield, Bryan and Brownhill, was a great idea to break down their moves. It worked an absolute treat and brought us 2 goals.

Then it unravelled. Reid on the right of 5 for ODowda was bizarre, and I love the former. That gave Reading the initiative and we sat back too much due to lack a confidence. 3 chances 3 goals later, defeat.

Exact repeat of one of Millens last games in charge!

Awful numbers from Reading, how small time.

I remain pro LJ

Guessing Scott Golbourne isn't all that for you guys?

Anyway you can have Joe Mason if you still want him, he missed an open goal from 2 yards out today. 5m did you offer before? Deal

Thought he started slowly today but got better, steady if nothing else. Just needs a consistent run in the side.

Just for future ref; there are no 'awful numbers' for a Championship shitfest on a bank holiday Monday 2nd of January.

"Championship shitfest" they're 3rd in the division and play some cracking football. It was a shit following and a lot of their fans said as much.

Not sure how many more they can be offered with home fans having season tickets in the Atyeo.

Championship football on 2nd of January, Bristol City away...

...Yeah, my point stands. Last day before the majority go back to work, spend it with your family FFS.

It is only up the road to be fair TB. I thought they would sell out but with their big cup game coming up (JEALOUS!!), I kind of understand why they didn't.

He's definitely not bad. His defensive side is definitely good enough, his attacking side is poor. Doesn't know what to do in their half.

Last season.. Championship football on the 2nd January, Reading away. Relegation zone and on the back of two 4-0 away defeats in a row. We had over 3.3k.
