So here we have the thread you’ve all been waiting for, ok promotion to the Football League would be nice but let’s be honest with ourselves, THIS is the title they all really want, Brotherhood Champions 2019.

FD139D55-602E-43E6-9760-BC2891979B55.jpeg

Now as you can see Orient are romping it but dark horses Hartlepool with a game in hand can throw the cat amongst the pigeons if they can beat Orient and then win their game in hand, I’m sure all Hartlepool supporters will tell you that victory in this competition would more than make up for the crappy season they are having in the league.
Unfortunately for Chesterfield their ploy of attempting to get to the safety mark of 46 points by drawing all of their games has backfired here as they didn’t allow for the power of their Brotherjood brothers and by losing both games to Orient they really need to win their final game to avoid winning the dreaded wooden spoon.
Now originally 5 teams applied to join the Brotherhood and based on their application forms all were accepted, however since then AFC Halifax have had to be expelled as a Brother as on scrutinising their application form it turned out to be a web of lies and deceit.
Claims of decades of participation in the Football League turned out to be false and no record of them even existing pre Millenium could be found.
With this evidence I attempted to contact the AFC Halifax Broothethood Chairman B2TF, but he was very reluctant to talk, instead giving me a number to ring that he said would validate his clubs Football League claims.
However, when I rang this number it turned out to be a premium rate chat line for people with gimp fetishes, so I swiftly hung up.

I am the ONLY authority on the Brotherhood, it is MY concept, MY creation, MY rules. Statements issued by any other party are not authorised, are unofficial and are legally invalid. Thanks for asking. :ds:

Fish has just made me realise that we actually do have something to play for this season.

The only issue is the points fixing that'll go on later in the season when the Brothers meet in glorious ex football league harmony.

I think we've only played 3 Brotherhood clashes so far and have W1 D1 L1.

Ahh bugger you’re right, I’ve put Hartlepool and Wrexham’s the wrong way round I think, Hartlepool have played 4 and Wrexham 3, I’ll do an updated table when I get time.

We're so accomplished at failure and underachievement that we can't even participate in a competition whose raison d'etre is failure and underachievement. :ffs:

Whoever comes out on top in the head to head between you and York wins the highly respected 'Brothers in the regions' title.

Oh dear, can we help you at all there?
What exactly are the qualifications required for membership of this brotherhood? My vague understanding is that teams with past football league status are entitled to enter this exclusive club. Or is it invitation only?....

You'll have to ask the Halifax fan. It's his baby, apparently.

think the Halifax fan has gerrymandered the rules to scoop out Aldershot by one season and throw in many asterix caveats to include Halifax 2008 in his member berry club.
If you are fair minded enough to criticize your own short comings instead of being reffed out of games etc etc then you probably dont qualify too.
We only came to their attention when we started winning games and have been slandered for all sorts since. No doubt, if we continue to do well, we will be labelled as massively bankrolled despite having a very modest budget for this league.
If Orient and Wrexham had a little more self pride they wouldnt want to ally themselves with the likes of Halifax and Hartlepool, who for much of their history, they would have considered somewhat tinpot themselves.

Ah hello again Joseph! I know you're probs on the spice again but in your last post you didn't lump us in with FC Halifax, so I'm wondering why now? We're getting double their gates even though this is the lowest the club's ever been. Add to that, we've only played them 3 times in our history. Plus we've played Orient and Wrexham tons of times in history, especially Wrexham so we all have much in common. A bit like you and Sutton Coldfield Town (R)FC.

That's some simple thinking right there Mr Joseph Smith, it's not about size, better than or worse than, the Brotherhood are allied because we all share the same past, have the same goals and are chasing the same vision, we all have something that sadly, for you at least, will never achieve nor replicate.

And for the record, there isn't a single solitary soul that would consider Solihull Motors (I think?) bankrolled :fl:

You can form your own seperate poor man's Brotherhood if you like, one consisting of teams that used to be in the league but then folded and restarted again under a new name. Could invite the likes of Halifax 2008, Darlington, Chester, Hereford etc.

Surely the fact we reformed and actually made it back to the Football League puts us in a different category to the rest of those?

In fighting in the brotherhood? Halifax kicked out?
In respect to the gentleman who accuses me of being on spice (in spite of looking like he is himself) Hartlepool are indeed bigger than Halifax, but their league record prior to 1990 is one of being the model as to why promotion and relegation to the tinpot league was decided and healthy for football.
It is pretty factual that Orient and Wrexham have a more illustrious history than Hartlepool, though, again its subjective as many clubs would see that as tinpot.
I dont see Tranmere fans posting in support of their 'brothers', and expect whomever (maybe both) of the said 'brothers' who go up this year will either.
I get the frustration of Wrexham fans, 11 years in this league must be frustrating, and finishing below another club youve barely heard of each season may grate. That is football.

This club is very much a bitter race to the bottom, would you have a vote based on silverware, average gates, city size and hisotrical league finishes that concretely decide your league.?
If so welcome back to another indefinate stretch in league 2. lol

In a word, yes.

i.e. the Natural Order. Historical league position takes precedence over all other factors.

You're better than those others yes but your new club has spent more years in Non League than League, so is classed as an historical tinpotter.

Most I know don't care for us one bit yet would STILL rather see us go up than tinpotters like Gary Neville FC or Solihull Motors Rugby Club.

It's a Proper Club thing, doubt you'd understand.

Brotherhood clubs to emulate:
Glossop, Gainsborough, Bradford Park Avenue, South Shields, Meythr Town, Barrow, Aberdare Athletic, Nelson, Stalybridge, Ashington, Durham City, Southport, New Brighton, Wigan Borough, Thames FC, Gateshead, Workington,
More Illustrious : Clapham Wanderes, Oxford Uni, Royal Engineers, Old Etonians, Wanderers, Old Carthusians,
Other nearby: York, Chester, Aldershot, Kidderminster, Stockport, Torquay
Im sure there are more, so re-instate all those and I guess all but, perhaps Wrexham and Clapton Orient are about the right level.

So history is interesting, but is it relevant?
Anyone under 25 would say Wrexham, non league club, sorry Master D.

Spoke to my mate Dave C (Old Etonians fan) about this, he said, " what what! These tinpot scruffs have achieved naught but obscurity. We, consider them but a footnote in the history of the sport. Having won real honour and played in front of gates larger than their whole bailiwick we move they be struck from the sport forever! And that says, still, nothing of (certain members thereof) egregious, disgraceful choice of livestock as a carnal partner!!!
Verbatim.

There really are some strange posters on this forum but that's non league for you. Never seen such a high proportion of odd looking cranks in a public space anywhere but at a National League game. The Bromley YOOF are of course an exception to this. They are the supporters of tomorrow.

It's funny he says that as whenever the play offs come round or whatever at the end of the season, you always get ex Brotherhood on here wishing the Proper Clubs well. And so they should. It's in the terms and conditions of their lifelong observership status.

Dave C also recounted,
" What What! Those old shut down towns, bah, mere provincial memories! That is all they are, crack smoking benefits users, incapable of debate! Now, pass me the Bolly and that juicy sucklings head!,
"Any ovineophile who knows not the real joy of porcine can lest debate me, as can a savage to the great Shakespeare himself!" (dropped mic made sheep shagging gesture with a two fingered salute)
Seems he has a better handle of debate and barnyard animals than you sir.
