It was because it hit the referee, I missed it though.

Just a bit of a thing with Carlisle - I was at the game when Matty Blair got seriously injured at that ground and the home fans were frothing at the mouth still.

I remember Matty Blair getting applauded off by almost the entire Warwick Road End as he was stretchered away, probably only a handful of fans had accused him of cheating but your cartoonist who used to have that twitter comic made a big deal of it and drew a picture of Blair with his leg at a right angle and a whole stand of fans booing and spitting so I think it must have gone down in Mansfield folklore because of that.

There only was a couple, but on both occasions the referee almost seemed to wait and see we had an attack building and then stop the game. I wouldn't say it was Mansfield's gameplan but it certainly halted two out of only a handful of occasions we started looking dangerous. The one where Danny Rose went down he didn't even indicate to his head, just rolled about clutching his chest until the ref made his own mind up to stop the game, and we were annoyed because he 'injured' himself in a lunge at our keeper that we thought was a foul.

Are you talking about the one where Rose was chasing the defender with the ball and ended up colliding with the GK? If so the referee should have stopped that immediately and not let Carlisle get it in our half then stop it. If it was that one, to describe it as a lunge or foul is ridiculous.

I can remember one more which was Bishop which was a clear head clash in the middle of the pitch, If there were anymore I apologise but I cannot remember it.

I watched today’s game on ifollow, the fans around the commentary team were better entertainment than the game itself :D hope I can make it next time, love that ground.

Those fans are mild. That’s where families go. I sometimes go in there when my mate takes his kid who can’t be arsed to stand. The paddock is different levels of abuse.

I said they were entertaining, a bloke kept going ‘oohhhhhhh those cheating bastards’ every five minutes like clockwork!

Mate our lot are abusing our own goalkeeper at Field Mill you should come and see it.

It was clear today the ref was a novice and we played him well. Pretty sad in footballing terms but I’m sick of other sides playing it against us so well I don’t mind in this circumstance - worrying if that’s what football is becoming.

On the balance of play we were probably fortunate to win but I’ll take it.

He wasn't hurt, barely winded was all and our keeper certainly wasn't hurt. Looked like a foul at the time; to suggest that it's ridiculous for opposition fans to thinking something was a foul is ridiculous.

Can't remember who it involved or where on the pitch it was. Could even have been the one where it hit the ref and then you scored from the dropball, which nobody was suggesting was the wrong decision but definitely infuriating when we go on the attack, the ball hits the ref, game is stopped, restarts with a drop ball and suddenly Mansfield are 2-0 up. There might have been others, but I can only remember two being booed by those around me. There were certainly some pile of drop-balls.

I think it’s fair to suggest it might have not been a head injury to be fair thinking back, but you can never be so sure, referee made a mistake letting play carry on only to then stop it. How can you judge who to give a foul to? They collided with each other, like literally ran into each other? I’m confused.

You called it a lunge, you know that’s way out of reality, it was a innocent and accidental clash by both players.

Rose clearly wasn’t winded.

They should have carried on. How can the ref when in the other half of the pitch make the decision whether he’s injured or not - it’ll become a farce.

The way around this is to have 2 extra assistants behind the goals to help make a more accurate decision.

Had that ref been at Mansfield and made that first half performance he’d have been lucky to have made it down the tunnel, the place would have gone mental

Why are you so upset over this? I'm not saying I thought it was a bad foul or anything. Webster was running towards our keeper and Rose was behind him, the keeper couldn't touch the ball or it would be a backpass so Webster took a bit of a risk in jinking the ball past the keeper himself. Rose collided with the keeper, thought he collided with him feet first like, maybe I'm wrong but surely this isn't the biggest disagreement you've ever had with an opposing fan.

Like I say, Rose didn't even indicate to his head and the Mansfield physio didn't look at Rose's head. It was right in front of where I was so was pretty clear that nobody apart from the ref thought it was a head injury.

I’m not upset mate I’m currently watching a documentary on Netflix with a beer, the ultimate definition of chill. I’m just a bit bewildered how you see it as a foul, it’s a footie forum innit - if you don’t want to discuss it anymore fair enough but end of the day it gets dark, and it wasn’t anything close to a lunge :D

Let's just say it's a moot point because the attack we were threatening to build would only have ended at the feet of one of your defenders as did pretty much every other attack we made.

If you thought that was entertaining wait till you visit Swindon. Thought one of our commentators was gonna knock someone out listening to that.

Good win away at a place we often lose. I'll take that, 2 at home now and hopefully 2 more wins and we can forget about a poor start and any idiot suggestion we will go down.

Anyway your 2 strikers were ruthless in taking the only 2 chances. That’s why you pay high wages for the top strikers of this level I guess.

We probably would have got away with 0-0 and a point in such a dour game against most other teams in this league.

I'd hope we would create more ourselves against most other teams. Had McKirdy put that chance away at 0-0 it would have been a different story

My highlight from the referee was him randomly doing the VAR signal with his hands. Both sets of players were just looking at like what the fuck are you doing.
