2 or 3 sub 1k followings? OK 1 was sold out, but would probably have been sub 1k anyway.
As we both both know, both Sheffield clubs have very good away followings when doing well, but if results are poor, 1 club still get good support, while the other club (as you openly admit) get wank support. As for Rotherham, great numbers going to Newcastle, 1 decent following all season though, I know it was tongue in cheek, but they don't compare to either Sheffield club. Will be interesting to see how they compare to Donny next year, other than that they will become a complete irrelevance once again.

Please don't ever compare us to Donny.

I have a genuine hate for Donny like most Millers and when comparing attendances and away attendances with us is pointless cos we'll smash em on both.

The last two seasons put away averages have been very good for us, this seasons has been far worse due to the shite we've had to watch. We'd be middle of the road had we been anywhere near decent this season.

Where did you get the figure walkley
Just wondered because our ticket office tweeted we'd sold 2500 pre match so only 22 paid on the day seems very low if right

@swfctickets twitter feed, it's the official club feed, you'd actually sold 2474 in advance per the head steward, so around 50 POTG.

Had a few decent followings actually, over 3k to Barnsley and Newcastle and sold out at Villa and over 1k at Burton and rest have been respectable apart from Leeds and Wednesday games.

I wouldn't ever compare ours to the 2 Sheffield clubs because you have a miles bigger fan base than what we do so your always gonna take more away.

As for comparing to Donny next season i reckon not just Donny but any similar club to our size or smaller wont get an higher average than us next season if were around the same position in the table imo, id expect Bradford and Millwall to and Sheff Utd, Plymouth and Portsmouth if their in the same division but thats about it.

You averaged 8,400 last time you were in that division and got promoted, currently 9 clubs (even including the Gas) averaging more than that.

Sheff U and Bolton (hopefully not) may well come up so that'd be two excluded, but then if Wigan & Blackburn come down they'll average more, with potentially Donny, Pompey and Plymouth all to come up as well.

Im on about away support mate. Our home support will not be as high has that this time unless we're pissing league which i doubt will happen.

For the record I'm fully kitted out in stone island, fake of course. On a serious note I don't wear colours to the footy but I do own a few retro shirts from back in the day.

1,079 from 2,036 for Blackburn. One ground we never seem to travel well at.

900 sold for Bristol City a fortnight today.

Both underpar imho but I'm doing neither so can't judge.

Brummies.

Any drinking areas/ specific pubs you'd recommend on Saturday?

None of this Real Ale guff, just give me some non-shit holes with decent screens for the early kick off and lager that isn't Carlberg, Fosters or Carling.

Broad Street seems to be the standard go-to with away supporters - Mooch Bar, Walkabout, etc. If you are looking for somewhere a bit more upmarket then you've got Brindleyplace and The Mailbox close by. On the other side of the station you've got The Arcadian by Chinatown, some decent bars there. All walkable from New Street. I would recommend The Victoria at the back of New Street by Turtle Bay... traditional and quirky, although they've no screens there.
