In what sense are they pound for pound best away support?

Always take decent numbers regardless of their level. Can't argue with Muzzle on whether they take good numbers up north or not, but from what I've seen of them over the past 30 odd years they're certainly up there.

They take some very good numbers up north, I fully agree with you that they have great support, in both numbers and actual support.

Portsmouth have been decent when they’ve come to AG, although it’s not exactly a long distance. Haven’t played them for a while actually.

Weirdly though, one of the best away support that have come to AG in recent times was Oldham. Brought about 300 but everyone of them were singing their hearts out! You usually get the bigger clubs who come in their numbers but not very often get the noise.

How was the match?

Bit shaky in places with this playing out from the back, should have been 3-0 at half time though.
Thought we were gonna pay for it as Preston had a reasonable spell start of second half and have the ball in the net but offside. When Harrison hit the post I thought we were def gonna get caught out, but we scored soon after. Could have been 5 on clear cut chances. Jansson missed a header on the 6yd line that was harder to miss.
Finished very strong. Bit gutted I’m not going Sat. Going to Weds and Hull though

Not good viewing is it
Not really mate, should’ve known better than sticking a Brum game on as I’ve watched them a couple of times when they’ve been the Friday night game and they’re a dull, dull side.

Lane sounds flat tonight as well - guess there’s not too much to get excited about though as of yet.

Late Sharp winner here.

They just defend, but they do it very well, was the same last year, and they look much more likely to score the few times they get in our half, that chance being the best all night.

So is AG other than big games or night games really, shame.

Brum could’ve had a couple late on, not the best of performances from you but at least you’re seemingly not going to lose a game you’ve not played well in.

Will be a very good point if we survive

Seriously? It’s only 15 miles down the road ffs.
£30, no trains, on Sky, play there often, always lose there. Depends on results between now and then but don’t think we’ll need the upper tier.

Portsmouth have probably got the best pound for pound away support in the country in all fairness. Turn up in numbers and have got one of the best mobs going.
I’d dispute that. I remember them boasting about how they’d take 5000 to us when the fixtures came out last year. Took about 1800 with 100 inflatable snakes.

£30 for Bolton away. Been allocated the lower tier first strangely, expect us to struggle to sell that tbh.
Bollocks! That means they’ll do the same with us and I’ll have to get a top tier ticket if I want to go. Hopefully Sky can do me a favour.

That many Bolton.

Sky are killing attendances. Well done to all Bolton who came even though it's a bit of a tinpot number.

226 of them. That red button is killing it.
If Rotherham’s was less than 300 (certainly looked it) then that’s three sub 300s and 2 of them were only a couple of hours down the road, if that. Sky are killing football.

reyt o il geit thi corect jut fo yo. Piss off you pretentious twat.
Not remotely pretentious, the English language is being destroyed by peoples inability to think, kids are dumbing down and education standards are seemingly lower than a snakes belly.

Your grandson probably suspects you are a knobhead don't let him add the word illiterate to the front of the that, he'd have even less respect for you.

It’s all about TV money these days, although only the prem clubs really benefit from it, as they get big pay outs. Sky want the viewings, so will try and kill attendances. The police forces won’t be moaning too much either.
