Well you never see a single one in Sheffield, very very rarely see any other teams tbf
Thats a rare thing these days. Proper football city on par with anywhere else . Brum is full of plastics. It’s also home to a 250.000 Asian population that either don’t follow football or follow the top clubs.

The only Newcastle fans I know and there is a few down this way, they are all connected to the North East. Loads moved down here to work in the coal mining industry. Don’t know any Newcastle fan that isn’t from the area or doesn’t have family from the North East.

That's the thing, Preston is football mad, but half of the c*** don't want to support a team that hasn't played in the top flight since Cliff Richard and Elvis were dominating the charts.

Obviously we're most people's 'second team'... just in case we won a Championship play-off.

The Newcastle fan is my mate who only had a passing interest in football as a kid and has no real reason for supporting them. He goes on about dozen PNE games a season to be fair.

My brother supports Newcastle. Football mad, but knows fuck all about and has no interest whatsoever in North End.

Shame really.

Weird that.

Dunno how you can be a big football fan but spend most weekends watching your team on the box.

I get pissed off if I go a few weeks without going to a game.

Two of my best mates are Man Utd and Newcastle. I’ve been to their own teams ground more times than them. The Geordie fan has never been to SJP.

Lots of pretend scousers in Bristol. Obviously lots of City and Rovers but many Rovers fans have “second” teams because they know they’ve no chance of actually seeing The Gas in the top league.

Always thought Rovers were the proper Bristol club.

They say it every year at ours as well, it’s bollocks. If they had as many as they claimed in our ends there would be a few that would lose their shit when they score.

Biggest set of mongs in the country that fanbase, it amazes me as a collective that they all believe this shit as I’ve never come across a sensible Leeds fan that has actually said they’re talking shit.

Thanks lads for the positive endorsements on this one.

You presume that people give themselves away and so are easily identifiable - they don't and they're not.

I speak not with forked tongue.

I stick with facts as I know them - it is actually very true (which is more true than just true)

Cuppa **** tea anyone?

Proper as in poorly run, play in a stolen shithole and fans’ like to punch horses and vandalise ambulances, then yes perhaps.

But you would get the odd one making themselves known, as I've said I've not seen your lot do it at Hillsborough despite the bluster online beforehand.

Certainly don't think I've ever seen a Leeds fan, even when man utd, liverpool are on TV you get none in any boozers where I live and other than the student area called ecclesall road you get none in boozers in town either. It is a football city only really, rugby is less popular than ice hockey and basketball. If either of us ever have any relative success , between us there's potential for both getting 40k plus crowds with ease, especially them lot.

champs used to be rammed when any of the big clubs were playing but as you say that’s all students. Always said I never met a local who wasn’t Wednesday or United. I lived the in the halls behind brammal lane and got to a few games, you was league one at the time so wasn’t the best time to be there football wise.

Always lots of Leeds in the home end at Wigan. But they’re smart enough to know the best place to go if they want to avoid trouble (West Stand in the two blocks closest to the away end). No problem with it personally.

My Leeds fan brother sits with us in the home end when he attends. He’s not thick though so he doesn’t make a scene. Not that he’d have anything to worry about if he did.

Good following from Stoke, not great from Forest for a 3 o'clock kick off on a Saturday. And Wednesday sold out, so you can only sell what you are given.

Other than Leeds (who get the car park on Portman road) I’ve not seen so many coaches from away fans at Town, taking up the station car park where we park instead!!

They do free coach travel for away fans don’t they. Leeds do a lot of private coaches, travelling to games on club coaches is an appalling experience.

Well all the coaches were numbered so presume they are the clubs supporters ones and I reckon they would have brought 500-600 of the 1100

Been on a couple of club coaches, but the only way to travel for myself is the train, a few beers, get in early, hit a few local pubs, and have a good crack, that's what the away experience should be. Hope the railway sort them selves out next season, been a nightmare going to games this year by train.

I used to do it when I was younger but I’d rather miss the game than attend a game on a club coach nowadays. I think I’ve done one away in the last 2 years which wasn’t the train which was West Brom. Norwich next week is a 6 hour journey, setting off at 5:30am so that’ll be good fun especially when we lose.... hopefully be too bolloxed to remember.

Yes been following Derby away for 30 odd years, and been on the official coach a few times and never again full of moaning twats, years ago we use to book a mini bus, which was great fun, mini bus was taken back in all sorts of states, but it was all in the name of good fun. Lol. But my best days will always be on the train, anyway going to Bristol this year as it could be a very important game for both teams, any good places for a few good ales please.

Yeah could be a massive one that, our last home game of the season I believe. Are you coming on the train? If so can advise lots of places in the centre, around the ground is great for home fans but most pubs are home fans only.
