Agree with above a boycott is a boycott, no good going now or if you get to Wembley, just sends the wrong message.

And we're out, with less than 1,000 home fans in attendance (1,081 total with 92 Bradford fans).

We got a crowd of over 900 last night to watch our U23s side beat Man City U23s in the Premier League Cup - more for that than the 500 and 700 odd we got in the Checkatrade Trophy.

I feel for the groundsman too.

Frozen pitches at lower league levels happen?

We're on, but I know it's been colder further south.

I'm sticking by not going, as someone mentioned earlier, it totally defeats the object now going as soon as Wembley gets close.

I'm not either.

Typical that we'd do well in a cup we didn't really care about

My resolve might be tested if we get through and we're at home in the semi though

I imagine only Wembley will lure me, like a good glory hunter.

Remember FA Trophy Semi-Final at Luton? Mad game that.

Can see us dumping Wycombe out too and being 90 minutes from Wembley.
Crack on mate as i couldn't give a toss about the piss in a pot trophy, we have Spurs away on Saturday and all we want is no injuries, the lethargy shown by the majority of fans should end this joke cup with the shit attendances that cost clubs money so why should League 1 & 2 teams lose money to satisfy Premier League teams who couldn't give a toss about financially struggling teams. Come on Mansfield fill your boots and knock us out :2thumb:

I've wanted us out since Day 1 of it but can only see us winning as you'll all have one eye on White Hart Lane Saturday. We will make it physical, Evans wants to win it. Regardless of the result I just hope we come out of this injury free as both home games in it thus far have resulted in one of our centre backs getting injured.

Will be the maximum changes allowed tonight. No disrespect mate but we have a massive game on Saturday so this shit trophy will be at the bottom of our list and i'm sure you can see why as if you were in our shoes you'd think the same.

Thankgod for that, we're out. Right time to go out really IMO

£100k in the bank from the run though.

Now time to concentrate on a playoff push

I see Wycombe played their 2 main strikers (who scored) - clearly keen to get through.

Mind you Ainsworth probably wants to win any match going - even the 5-a-side in training.

I think evans wanted us to win, he's just as competitive as ainsworth (and dare I say a better manager also) but it wasn't any of the players playing and it told as we lost to a better Wycombe side.

He expects us to be in or very close to the playoffs at the end of the season, and this would only be a distraction.

Wish Wycombe all the best going forward.

We didn't start either of them though. Wasn't really bothered about tonight but pleased enough that we are keeping the 15-game unbeaten run going.

They both came off the bench late in the game not started.

The Stags vs Wycombe game was very even game in first half. The stags however were missing their four new cup tied players which were a big loss for the Stags. Wycombe were missing a couple of defenders and their two main strikers who were on the bench.

stags went in one up at half time through a penalty converted by Green given away for an unfortunate hand ball.

The game turned when their two main strikers were bought off the bench and they made the difference. That youth Kashket was excellent and must be worth a million. Akinfenwa was just unplayable and scored the winner.

Disappointing we lost but the difference was we were missing our new players. I am sure we would have won with both sides at full strength.

meh - we played a second-string line-up and got the just desserts - out of the cup - no complaints, and the right decision from Ainsworth.

I have no moral objections to this 'trophy' and was never boycotting it - I would never go normally, but would have gone to watch the final.

But Coventry wanted it more than we did and fair play to them.
