That was Kinnear don't forget - he loves centre backs
We've only got 2 left Lokko & Diarra, Brundle is playing CB atm
2 out on loan, 1 released & the worst of the lot Schmoll conveniently injured or he would have been 1st out the door

So after playing against tinpot Mickey Mouse outfits week after week and never winning, he finally decided a clear out is needed only after the embarassment of losing to us, cheers Martin take care pal. :bg:

We're proper desperate for any goal threat that I'd reluctantly take back Hines at Maidstone.

Known to be abit of a destructive influence (there were rumours that he had fights with some players in training) but when motivated he's easily one of the best players in this league.

They were signed by Kinnear until January, Hess doesn't want them, so they've returned to their clubs early, so we're still playing, that's how I think it is

I know he hasn't scored yet but how is Cassidy getting on, I think his lass has more goals scored than him this season.

I actually like him.

Unlike a fair few of our players he always puts in lots of effort, seems to be good in the air, has decent pace, causes the opposition lots of problems......just sadly he has no end product.

Sounds exactly like Dan Holman for us last season, didn't work out for him at Aldershot this season either, a goaless wonder, everything but goals.

Sounds very familiar to when we finally got the ball rolling in getting rid of our old Italian owners.

Our fans trust organised a joint protest with Blackpool fans when we played them at our place back in November 2016, against both of our owners.

There are always a few who are against these protests - Scared of what will happen afterwards. Me personally, I was all for it - There is only so much you can take, at the time we was a dead club walking and you could see it in the players performances on the pitch, particularly at home games when we lost 19 games out of 23 in the season when we went down.

Sure enough though, within 7 months of the protest combined with alot of in game protests at several home games - Including our final two home games that season which saw on pitch protests - the Italians were gone.

There were a few consequences you could say of this protest though, the owners started pulling funds from the club - Not paying the bills and racking up debts, staff were not paid on time multiple times causing some of them major problems.

On the footballing side, the owners sabbotaged our squad. Senior players were deliberately offloaded and not replaced properly.

Jay Simpson, Ollie Palmer and Jordan Bowery were our strikers at the time and all were moved on in the January transfer window of 2017.............Only to replaced with players from our youth team and Rowan Liburd from Stevenage - Who was an awful player with an awful scoring record - Now at Guisley I believe which is about his level.

Some more Signings were made, then announced and then were unable to play due to Fifa not getting the paper work on time...........Jordan Green now of Yeovil, signed for us but never got to play - Something smelt fishy at the time of this.............

Then of course when the players stopped getting paid, alot of them started pulling out of games "injured" leaving our youth team to pick up the pieces.

All the above was blamed on the Fans Trust protest by some, people wanting someone to blame for us being constantly shit and heading towards relegation - Because the owner pulled the plug because he was protested against.

As far as I was concerned the protest had to happen, we had to get rid of Francesco Becchetti and his awful regime, the bigger picture was we had to get rid of him because of what he was doing and way he was running the club, the performances out on the pitch were shocking and the way he conducted himself at times was not what you'd expect from an owner.

A protest for Chesterfield is always going to be a risk after Allen and his boards scarmongering, but if the fans believe that taking a potential relegation to the National League North is worth it, then I'd say do it and see what he does. If he lets the club rot then he will be finally seen as the villan.

Carson resigns as a Director. Still remains associated as company secertary though so has all that much changed?

In effect - he remained secreatry, still attends board meetings, retains his shares etc so nothing changes. Just a PR stunt to try and stop the fans getting the game abandoned on Sat - which will likely spur them on even more now.

The only way anything will improve is if a new owner with good intentions and the best interests of the club at heart buys out all the existing ownership shares, has a proper clear out and start again with a fresh young manager. That won't happen for a few reasons though. One, everything Allen has put in he has added to the clubs debt to him personally, so the current club debt is astronomical. On top of that he also owns the ground and all the commercial side of the club. Two, it seems he has been actively looking to sell the club to someone even worse than he is just so he can see 'see, I told you the grass isnt always greener'. He's that vindictive of a man you see. Three, I'm not sure there's anyone round here with the kind of financial clout required here.

Honestly, the club ceasing to exist pretty soon seems a much more likely ending.

The only green shoots I can see are the Fans Consortium who apparently now have the funds to launch a takeover bid. With Carson out of the way (day to day) hopefully they will now be negotiating with others in the club with less to hide.

I can't see a club of Chesterfields size and infrastructure going out of business.

I see some fans are saying relegation isn't a bad thing. Have a word with Stockport and York, it would be horrific.

Relegation would probably see us into Admin, which is what many fans see as the only way out of this. I'd happily start again at whatever level and be rid of these

It's the infrastructure that will have a big play killing them off if they get relegated again, BIG upkeep costs and dwindling revenue.

I honestly don't want them to go bust mind, although I would enjoy them spending a bare minimum 5 years in non-league and if you want to chuck in the Conference North for a few seasons that's pretty funny too.

Never been in this situation before - we’re up shit creek without a paddle and MA has just been made unemployed. No prizes for what will happen next

It’s a real messy situation that Chesterfield are in at the moment - I personally think they’ll survive as there are plenty of shit teams in the division and despite current performances they do have some quality in their team. Just not MA who is completely past it. He’s more of a short term manager than Mourinho!

I'd love to see how the fans respond to Allen without Akinde bailing him out.

(When I say bail out, I mean Akinde is the perfect specimen for Allenball and brings it all together imo)

We really need to draw a line with him now. I can't see him doing much better than Still with our current squad.

Still really needs to go though. For me Alan Dowson is our best bet as replacement, but I think Still survives until at least after our cup tie at Bramall Lane.
