As annoying as todays bottle job is, it's not today that has cost us a playoff place. It was always goimg to be a tough ask to come to Exeter and win.

We can look back at recent bottle jobs against Notts County at home, Hartlepool away and Crawley away. Those are the games where we should have had this nailed.

This team is a shower of shite that needs overhauled from top to bottom over the summer otherwise a relegation battle beckons next season.

As i said, Exeter scoring meant nothing as we always needed 3 goals to win today......why at times Curle stupidly decides if we are winning to 'sit on a lead' when its bleeding obvious our defence couldn't hold the tower of london against a chicken with a pea shooter i'll never know.

going behind was best for us because it gave the mentality of gung ho which even on my limited knowledge of Carlisle this season is the ONLY way we can play (until an entire new backline is brought in)

now all we need to do is find at least 6 goals over 2 games to get to Wembley.

As Dave says we obviously can't defend, so we have to just go for it, even if we go ahead just carry on attacking because we'll never keep a clean sheet in a million years.

Congrats Carlisle.....

I have to say, I thought we were mad to play a near full strength team so just pleased no one got injured. We started well but the second half was very flat from our point of view and Carlisle deserved the win as they threw everything at us.

The first penalty decision looked dubious but would need to see it again, however the second one looked nailed on.

I just hope this defeat doesn't give you the psychological edge for the play offs. We have to be more resolute or we will get turned over. It looked like Ibehre went off with a pulled hammy so I'm hoping he will be out as he looked a threat. It will be interesting to see how we cope when the pressure is on us....

Ibehre has pretty much single handedly got us into this position. Going into the playoffs without him is a huge blow but we're massive outsiders now so really there's no pressure on us. I hope we just go and attack attack like we have in the last 2 games and see what happens.

What a win, brilliant second half performance and we deservedly got the two goals. We started very slow but settled into it and took control. Exeter were always a threat going forward, that last 15 minutes was so nervy. On the other hand, I thought they were poor defensively, their right back continuously got done by Adams in the 2nd half. Proctor put in a terrific performance too.

Very decent attendance and atmosphere on both sides, should be 2 more entertaining games to come.

Great weekend in Exeter, especially last night in the Ship Inn. Fair play to anyone making that journey on the Thursday.
