Simple as that. The squad is too complete and Pep produces victory after victory. The excitement will have to come from the race from 2nd-4th as City will top the table for the rest of the season I feel.

MisterMagic said this last season at around the same time and we saw how that panned out.

They look head and shoulders above everyone else right now but there's plenty of time for things to happen.

They've played 1 of the big premier league clubs, would hold judgement until they've played more and had some more midweek football chucked in to cope with

They're the favourites but they've only played 5 games and they're yet to play Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Everton or Leicester. To say it's already over is madness.

Besides the derby I've watched them beat Sunderland and West Ham and they were unconvincing in both.

If they have won every single game by Christmas, no draws or losses then you can say they have won the league

They do look exceptionally good, but its too early to call it after 5 games. The team to beat at the moment however, and that squad is utterly scrumptious. :)

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Lots of football to play yet! They won the first five last season too, then the players started dropping like flies.

I'll put KDB and Aguero in my fantasy team and then City will not score and get relegated.

You'd have to be a bit of a simpleton to not know that they'll not only win the league, but are going to do it comfortably. United and Chelsea are very much a work in progress, Arsenal will be the same old Arsenal for as long as Wenger remains there and Liverpool will have too many 'Burnley' days, although I do fancy them to finish as runners up. Leicester won't go anywhere near this season and neither will Spurs.

I agree, Guardiola won't slow down significantly in the league. It will take 90+ points to compete with any league side he manages and I don't think the other squads in the league are capable of that tally this season. He inherited the best squad in the league by a distance and they have strengthened well in the summer, they have too much depth.

Nine straight wins isn't a bad way to begin your time at a new club...

So providing there isn't an injury crisis, who will at least bring them to a draw?

Currently on 15 points

Swansea (A) - Win no questions asked
Spurs (A) - Win
Everton (H) - Win
Southampton (H) - Win
Man U (A) EFLC - Draw - I think United may just about manage it second time around, with City resting players. However this is not a league game.
West Brom (A) - Win

By the end of October, I make that 30 points from a possible 30. In fact, I may place a bet if the odds are good enough.

November
Middlesbrough (H) - Win (could be 6-0)
Crystal Palace - (A) Easy win
Burnley (A) - Again another win

That 13 straight league wins, still on maximum points

December
Chelsea (H) - Win, but only just
Leicester (A) - Win
Watford (H) - Win
Arsenal (H) - Win
Hull (A) - Win
Liverpool (A) - Draw

Now that's 54 points by the new year. However, January won't be so easy, with Everton away, which I think could be their first loss of the season, with Arsenal holding them to a draw in April. Apart from that, I just can't see City dropping any more points unless City have a major injury or suspension crisis.

I don't think I will be far wrong with that.

Spurs away might give them trouble, Everton are on form, and you never know when an upset could pop up.

They could lose about half the December matches as well.

The thing is, whilst that is all very well on paper looking at their quality, it's unlikely to be as simple as that. Just the law of averages alone tells me there will be at least a couple of losses amongst that lot.

It's quite normal for the runaway side to encounter a bogey team over the course of the season. Spurs may well be that team but Citeh will still have the league won at an absolute canter when it's all said & done.

Like I said, they were never likely to have it all their own way. Don't be surprised to see more points dropped between now and December, and possibly even another loss or two.

Unfortunately, agreed. I can't see any other team competing with them over 38 games. They'll finish top by a minimum of 6 points I reckon.

6 points is fuck all. If they're going to run away with it like people are saying it's gonna be well into double digits. Unless of course they won it with a shit load of games spare and just threw the rest of their matches.

Just as I predicted Leicester's title last year after seeing their style of play I can now confirm that this years champions will be Arsenal fc.

If you have any doubts about this feel free not to back them at the bookies.

However the major signing in January of a striker Will boost there chances and clinch it.

I doubt they'll sign a striker in January. They play with one, and with Sanchez seemingly converted up top despite the other options being fit Wenger now has 3 strikers, all of which play differently to choose from.
