Released every single out of contract player, which is fine. Shame O’Brien has decided to take the relegation release clause, but he’s not been good enough to justify worrying about it.

Boldewijn and Hemmings are too good/too expensive to stay I imagine, but Tootle/Bird/Doyle/Rose/Crawford/Dennis is a fairly useful starting point.

Suspect we’d be happy to shift Kellett, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Patching if anyone wanted them.

My only disappointment with that is JOB but its not as if when the new owners come in next week that he can't then sign.
We are not able to offer new contracts as the new owners need to be in place first.

Bit disappointed with that.

No way should Kenton Richardson be staying, Niko Muir is a bit of a shock. No idea why we're offering Magnay a new deal either. Luke Williams hasn't kicked a ball all season yet we're offering him summat as well. Bloody hell. I'd expect a few who've been offered will leave and all but christ that's an underwhelming list.

I feel the same way Soup, massively underwhelming an a sign that Pools are happy to just plod along, heads barely above water and willing to stick with the same garbage who’ve continuously let us down, Magnay will be wanking himself off tonight, so will Williams.

Shit.

And thus began the annual event of Wrexham fans trying to convince themselves that we should sign Jake Cassidy.

Would’ve kept him myself, was always pretty terrible at right back but a really good all energy central midfielder and still young.

Salford tried to sign him in January, would be surprised if he didn’t get a league club pretty easily.

Looks like he has issues with injury quite regularly, hence why Salford might have pulled out and also looks like he missed your run-in. He should come to us, we have a good record of fixing players with dodgy limbs.

Hignett slitting his wrists in the press recently as well. Do they actually want to sell any season tickets?

Just give us 15th place again and skip the new season.

Salford didn’t pull out, we didn’t want to let him go. He then got a serious injury to rule him out for the season.

Hasn’t had any real injury issues before that with Notts that I can remember.

The article I read said that he picked up an injury on Boxing Day (but not sure how serious it was), before then having a season ending injury in February.

Might’ve been a knock for a week or something maybe but not one I can remember. Definitely not a player I’d describe as injury prone anyways.

Like no one expects Pools to start spunking money willy nilly but fucking hell man have the balls to clear the decks, Hignett himself said the pool of players available is massive so get shot of these wasters that have been shit for years, don’t reward them with new deals.

Someone said on one of the boards that under Hignett over a season we'd have finished just short of the play offs but it was just a massive opportunity missed to cut the crap off. I just can't for the life of me think why we're offering Magnay a fucking contract and keeping Kenton Richardson. The only thing I can think of is our budget is shite again despite hearing that it was gonna be increased.

TBH if our budget is crap, I'd happily pay 20 quid more for a season ticket and if the 3000 odd other holders did the same that could generate another 60k which is the salary of a good player for this league to bring in. Reduce the pay on the gate from the ludicrous 20 quid and we'd get more of the floating fans back. Increases revenue, could mean more funds for Hignett. Not too happy with Pools approach to the new season.

Centre half Keiran Kennedy has rejected our contract offer. Disappointed at that as he's been very good but I guess he couldn't be guaranteed a start considering we have Pearson, Lawlor and Manny Smith who are all top defenders at this level.

Be a good signing for anyone down here.

Shame that. Thought he was our best player during the last few months, an asset in both boxes and reads the game very well. He probably thinks he’s not going to start many games, but Manny Smith is a big question mark right now, he may not recover completely and I’m not sure Tharme is ready to play a big part just yet. Then of course, Lawlor missed the run-in, so don’t know what his current situation is and Pearson loves a booking. Kennedy would’ve been an important player.

Maidenhead give a new contract to forward James Akintunde.

One goal in 33 games, 2019-20 will be a long hard season.

Charlie Lee and Charlie Grainger have been released by ourselves. Both could do jobs down here.

The 4 released is no real suprise.

Grainger needs to go somewhere who will give him time and a chance.

Lee and Lawless will be good signings for any brother club down here - They were both excellent for us this season in different ways. Lee isn't the player he was with Peterborough, after his ACL injury he has faded a bit, but is still a decent player for down here.

Jay Simpson took a long time to sign for us, we've probably pushed the boat out with his wage demands to get him here and he wasn't great value for money. He scored one goal and his lack of fitness and injuries took their toll on him. I'd have kept him and gambled on him having a good pre season, but he won't be cheap and apparently he fell out with Edinburgh and there is only ever going to be one winner. He won't end up down here, too expensive.

Our remaining out of contract pros would be excellent signings for any brother club down here again - I can't see us offering more than 1 year deals for all of them though - So if anyone down here offers them 2 years, they may well take it.

Slightly suprised at Matt Harrold being offered a deal, as he is 35 next year. He was superb for us as an impact player though this season.

James Alabi is.........................Well Alabi....................

To be fair he didn't have many starts...but God forbid if we are relying on him for goals.
Need a proper striker.
