When we brought him over from Ireland as a young lad, he was a left-back. We played him there for a while and pushed him up to the wing where he did well (although given more stick than he deserved at times). He was quick, direct, skilful and had a decent cross, which was everything you wanted from a winger.

I suspect as he's got older, he's got slower and has had to adapt his game. You'd certainly not have played him in central midfield at the time and age we had him.

Good news for Dover, one of the better players in this league last season. Wonder why the move home and to Pools didn't work out..

The fella is/was totally out of his depth and is more one footed than Long John Silver.

Any player can score a tap in.

Well according to a thread about him, 15 other clubs in the League, the NL and below were in for him before he signed on here following the Cowleys from Braintree. He is a truly class act, hardly misses a game and also is mister consistent with his performances on the pitch. No wonder the Lincoln fans want his signature probably more than anyone else who need to sign a new contract.

Dover have signed Bondz N'Gala - clearly we're not a "professional" club like Eastleigh?

You are doing pretty well. But your away form looks pretty bad?

yeah our last million games have been at home, this by far our biggest test since we've picked up some form and practically got a new team together.. should be an interesting match and looking forward to it.

Michael Green has left Eastleigh FC with immediate effect.
Our player of the season so far and winner of the POTM award for the last 3 months running.

Does Martin Allen really know what he's doing?
Bringing in Barnet Donkeys for dosh and getting rid of our best players.

I thought the NL was now classed as a professional league, so all Clubs fall under the 'professional' bit? Or is it only the FT Club who fall under that? Or is it to do with what league he's played in? I'm confused, because on the face of it, this couldn't happen with how I thought the rules were?!

I assumed it was a 'league' issue rather than a club status issue as well. Does sound somewhat like making it up as they go along though...

There does need to be a clear statement by the National League and the FA over the rules

well Dover's website says
But following discussions between Dover Athletic, the FA and the EFL it was confirmed by the FA’s registrations department that we could go ahead and sign the player.

So no matter how weird/wrong the signing might be, can't see Dover being deducted points
Perhaps some club will appeal & the fa will end up changing their minds

Don't get it. It's a FIFA law and states that a player cannot sign permanently for 3 different clubs in one season.

From this season that includes step 5 clubs, which is why Gillingham couldn't sign N'Gala cos he'd already been at Barnet and Eastleigh. I would be very careful about playing him if I were Dover. Could cause themselves a lot of hassle.

Haven't we already been through this with Matt Tubbs and the FA Cup or was that another FIFA ruling interpreted differently by the FA?

I think it's played for 3 different Clubs, not permanently signed by 3 different Clubs.

Doesn't include loans though does it?

We've got Kaiyne Woolery on loan from Wigan, who's played for them, Bolton and us this season.

From what I read, it was being played (or registered) with 3 Clubs full stop. Youth loans, which I'm assuming Woolery is on(?), don't count. Woking have similar with Bonne who's played for Colchester, us on loan and now Woking on loan.

We signed Margetts, he was sold to Scunny but his loan to Crewe got cancelled because the latter were the third Club. I'm not sure whether that means, theoretically, whether we are the only Club this season that Margetts could move to seen as we've already held his registration this season?

“I don’t agree with players going up the local tennis club, cappuccino-type crap. A boxer would never prepare for a world championship fight in the local sports centre where all the mums are."

At least Allen has pinpointed Eastleighs problem.

Mums.

He'll take the FA's stance and have no WAGS living with the players next.

Stop picking on little, penniless part-time Dover.

Dover? It's plucky, impoverished Forest Green who are picked on and HATED everywhere they go in this division, apparently.
