Desperately needs game time. He's had a mare of season through no fault of his own, unfortunately.

Broke his ankle 8 minutes after coming on as a sub for his debut at Woking on the first day of the season and by the time he was fit 3 months or so later, we had Woodyard, Power, Whitehouse and Wood all playing in CM. Then with Knott coming in, he's been pushed down even further. Shame really because he was very impressive in pre-season.

Apparently Joe Ward is extending his loan from Brighton until the end of the season having initially been here for a month. Just waiting for the paperwork to be signed off.

Any player can score a tap in.
Ironically it was Noble's mistake in passing it back to Arnold, whose blocked shot fell to Woodyard for the goal and the start of our season slide.
But besides that mistake he has been our best player by mile.
I'd have all three in my TOTS.

Miles Anderson has left Barrow for Torquay. Looked average, and his dad is responsible for Blackburn getting Venkys. Won't be missed.

Also, who else knew that w (Conference level) are not allowed to sign Premiership players on loan now the window has closed? We found that out the hard way, when trying to push through a deal for a Sunderland player. The rules are absurd.

They scrapped emergency (short term loans outside of the designated windows) in the summer. I'd have hoped an administrator at a football club would know this.

I mean it's barmy but was quite widely publicised.

No, you can sign players on loan from any division, just not Premiership. Bizarre rule.

I think our two signings could just possibly be exactly what we need to make the play offs. something I didn't really believe in my heart we could or would do previously. Given Kinnears penchant for benching new players though the issue we are pondering is if they will actually play, certainly start tomorrow, I am hopeful both will as not doing so would be utter madness. If it does happen it 's a double bonus for us as it will mean Orlu spends the rest of the season on the bench. Really exciting for us all

Goodness me we have actually signed someone. After I had picked myself off the floor in shock I find its Jordan Richards on a 1 month loan from Hartlepool. A midfielder converted in a full back. Has made 19 apps for Pools this season. Great news.

Just got a text off the club saying we've signed Omar "Bugiel" subject to FA approval. Presume they mean Bogle, in which case one for the tinpot thread too. ETA No, just seen the tweet and it is a different bloke. Tinpot me. :D From Worthing in the Isthman prem apparently, never heard of him obvious.
Also young prospect Olly Meyhew loaned to Dorchester.

Seems highly rated at Worthing, lets hope he makes the step up quicker then Sham Mullings has.

Scored a few too. Explains those rumours about Bogle training with us, someone made the same mistake I did. I like this policy of up and coming talent even if it is a bit risky.

Not league standard and will be released at the end of the season but should be more than adequate in non league, hope he does well.

I like players like that. They work hard, it's important to them they know how precious their career is. Unlike some kid fresh out of a premier league academy who still thinks he's a big time Charlie without having achieved anything.

Completely agree, was so refreshing seeing omar today, you can tell how much it meant to him was like a kid when he celebrated, we've got a big fucking German and I already love the bloke!

We've resigned Manny Oyeleke. He's gone out on loan to Canvey Island for a month to get fitness, so assume he'll be back in the team when Benyu's loan is up.
Happy with that, Manny offers great energy and will be solid with Gallagher in the middle.

Guiseley going for it then.

He's a good player but we need better to challenge playoffs next season.

Guiseley trying desperately to stop the FOOTBALLING GODS from punishing them for WHAT THEY DID.

Justice will prevail.

Surely not?
Yep he John Roonied us like he did with you lot!

Quote from Keates:

"We have been in negotiations, we have tried to get it sorted, and in the end we gave him what he wanted,” said Keates.

“We got the contract written up and then the goalposts moved a little bit, and he asked for more. It was a case of we were not going to be held over a barrel.

“I am disappointed that we couldn’t come to some sort of agreement, the contract was there for him for next season, but it is football and it happens"

Guiseley must be paying him a decent amount. Another Tin pot bank rolled club.l

its certainly an interesting one to get your head around! he agreed a new contract in principle further to negotiations to cancel his 30 game auto renewal courtesy of Gary Mills only to turn around at the last minute. in Rooneys own words:

"To all Wrexham fans, it saddens me to say I will be leaving the club with immediate affect.

"It was a pleasure to play for such a magnificent club and the fans have been great with me, but I've been put in an impossible position with the contract situation and decided to move on."

When somebody told me Rooney was going to Guiseley, I thought they were taking the piss.

He was bang average with Mills in charge, improved under Keates, and since Penn joined the midfield, he's been great. Would he remain great for the rest of the season? Who knows. I'm not that arsed about him leaving, apart from him being one of those players with matchwinning tools in his locker, like Dom Vose was.

Do we need a part-time matchwinner/part-time passenger attacking midfielder, or a 40-decent-games-a-season attacking midfielder? As our budget is strictly limited to the money we actually have, I'd probably go with the latter.

Either way, I trust Dean Keates' judgement on this one. Seeya John.
