Reece Grant in from Braintree, perm.

So Braintree lose another of the handful of their players actually good enough for this level. Astonished that neither he nor Bettamer was there on a contract. Tinpot outfit who will definitely be going down.

Glowing endorsements for our newest recruit on here... in fairness the only two previous ex-Wrexham players I know who have played for us have done alright in big Jeff and Sir Glen Little.

Reece Grant came through our youth setup and scored a couple of early goals in our Isthmian League winning season 5 years ago but looked too lightweight at Step 3. Fair play to him for working his way up through the leagues and earning the opportunity to play full time.

Havant say we've brought Alfie Pavey from them. Not in time for today's game it looks.

Bloody hell another ex Maidstone player. I'm starting to think Southall is in charge of recruitment...you just seem to be signing his mates and ex Maidstone players.

Dave Tarpey rejoins Maidenhead on loan from Barnet.

Fantastic signing for Maidenhead, though he will need to be played upfront alongside Adrian Clifton if we are to get the best out of him and not Ryan Bird what won't do him any favours.

From a Barnet perspective, this makes sense in terms of getting him fit but it just cements the ugly football we've been playing all season as we let go of yet another pacy forward who actually runs at defenders.

Kenny Clark to Dagenham from us. Genuinely gutted by this one, been a rock for us over the years. Looks like we're signing Cody McDonald.

Dave Tarpey back to Maidenhead on loan, just in time to continue his drought against us.

Confirmed that we've signed Cody McDonald. Perhaps the "Financial crisis" isn't what it seems to be after all...

Just hope he's got himself in shape! Potentially a very good signing.

TBH pissed off about this and Mcqueen, ok we have Winfield ,Bush,King & Magri so I guess were covered, probably be one or two midfielders next.

I would have preferred Keds to go over Mcqueen,he would have given us something different with his pace and sharpness in the box,
and Keds has far more of a career behind him than in front.

Fucking hell, we're gonna get 'Tarpied' by them again in a couple of weeks, gerrin.

Would have liked to have seen McQueen been given a run on the wing, but I genuinely don't believe he's got what it takes to succeed as a striker at this level, unless every single ball goes to his feet which, as we all know, won't happen. Keds has been fantastic, and gives everything he has in every game he plays. Would hate to see him leave us for another club. The only time I want to see him stop playing for us is when he retires.

Hill has obviously been told to accept offers for players, and no way was Clark going to turn down a rumoured three year deal at Dagenham, especially with the "Financial crisis" cloud still hanging over us. Gutted to see him go, but it happens.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Shields and Graham leave, but can't see the major overhaul which has been reported in the recent past. We wouldn't be signing anybody if it was paramount that we need to lose a load...

Needed a signing like this as our two best CBs are only on loan deals to January with no guarantee of being extended. Onariase was on the verge of Rotherham's first team before being lured to us for regular football and Goodliffe will be a very good League 1/2 defender in the future. With Alex Davey having done his cruciate and Pennell currently playing left back, we needed a CB. Very happy with Kenny Clark. Always a 7 or 8 out of 10 whenever I've seen him and gives very little away. Plus an experienced head which always comes in handy.

Always gives 100% and doesn't shy away from anything, got the nickname Concrete Kenny here. Definitely got yourselves a decent signing there. I remember him signing for us and I was fearing the worst, as he'd been relegated with Dartford. Probably turned out to be one of our best signings in recent years.

He is in a shape. Admittedly it’s the same shape as Danny Kedwell, but never mind. Sure he’ll do well at this level if he can be arsed.

Keds has been remarkable for us for a number of years now, if Cody becomes half as vital then he'll do well here. With Keds, he's obviously scoring less goals than in years gone by but his contribution all over the pitch is massive. Would go as far as to say his work rate is the best in the side.

Don't think he'll go straight into the starting XI after Cheeky coming in and bagging a brace on Saturday.

It will be a permanent move.

A lot of our fans seem bewildered by the three recent departures despite Kent Online's constant articles suggesting that the owner and manager wants the squad down to around 18. So many mongs it's unreal.

Anyway, Shields. I like him, but I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm disappointed by his departure. He works hard, but needs to work on his end product. Also feel he's more of an impact player than a regular starter. Tends to get found out in games that he starts, then he becomes a bit useless. 10-20 minutes left against tiring full backs though and he runs riot. Good luck to him.

The number of players just swapping between teams in the league is getting ridiculous

We've recalled Luque and Smith from Bromley and Maidstone respectively.

Probably want a good look at Luque before his deal expire in January, although I can't see it being extended.

There were murmurs that Vickers might have picked up a knock at the weekend, hence Smith's recall.

Luque was absolute garbage when he came on against us. Didn’t look up to National League standard.

Losing Smith is a massive blow for Maidstonehead; they’ll be picking up one of Chesterfield’s rejects in no time.
