Sam Corne has joined us from Ashford United.

I remember him being pretty good a few years back when he was at Welling and even Chelsea were interested in signing him. He then seemed to just suddenly disappear down the leagues and ended up playing Ryman South football.

Still only 22 and scored 21 goals last season (yes I know its only ryman level) from midfield, so potentially might not be a bad signing.

Harris struggled a fair bit while on loan at Vale. That said though this was in a team that was massively low on confidence so was always unlikely he could do anything. Did seem to have the ability make some decent runs off the ball though in a team which for most of the year was just punting it into the corners that was never going to be effective.

Another promising signing on paper. Sign a fast defensively-competent right back & a solid defensive midfielder and Hughes’ recruitment will have been the best we’ve seen for years (on paper). He’s going for the right kind of players; tall, strong & pacey. The front three look like they’re going to have the ability to interchange and add in Oswell as a different kind of option (then also maybe add on top the experience of Dagnall too if he signs) and the squad is really starting to look good now.

Never featured as Kieran said. Too young to gamble on when we were in the midst of a relegation battle.
The few games he played he looked lively and runs the channels well.
Maybe a run of games and you've a good prospect on your hands

It'll be less than half what we could have got for him last year when he couldn't agree terms with West Brom.

Chesterfield bring in Anthony Gerrard, Josef Yarney and Jack McKay. Chuffed to bits with the Gerrard signing, guys a rock and a leader. Yarney is a player with plenty of potential and think he'll be good. Can't for the life of me understand the Jack McKay one.

Anthony Gerrard, class signing. With him, Evans, Hollis, Buchanan, Maguire, Yarney and Smith we have some very strong defensive players for this level!

Jack McKay will be a bit part player but Sheridan seems to rate him so gotta trust his judgement.
